Nobody seems to give a damn that David Bowie is dead !!!

It's a sad thing to happen Baz......but I expect we all said * Oh what a shame* and then carried on as normal, none of them knew him and neither did we

Ok.. I'll put my hands up and say I was stunned.. disbelieving and felt a bit sad about it all day.

yes and me and the vast age differences who liked his music - about 30 -40 years apart

Husband woke me with the news - I felt awful and it threw me off kilter for the rest of the day.  Which obviously sounds silly in itself.

I shed a tear and it threw me off kilter too Cosi

Not to me.   I couldn't believe how much it affected me.

I liked Bowie and I liked Lemmy, but I thought it was sad that they died, but I wasn't weeping or wailing over it

I was shocked - he was a part of my youth and iconic but then you get on with every day

but none of them appeared to say 'David Bowie????'    Tiff's 'are you joking' seems a more reasoned response (if it had been about the right person)

yes and then she over dramatised everything instead of acting normal

What I think is really telling - is that unlike when other 'stars' go - I haven't read a single negative comment about him anywhere.    I daresay someone will now find something somewhere that says 'meh.. didn't like him anyway' but I seriously haven't seen a single one.

No, I wasn't 'weeping and wailing' but I couldn't ignore the fact that he'd been part of the soundtrack of my life (for want of a better description).

Not weeping (as such) and definitely not wailing, but sad, and I did get a lump in my throat and welled up at the various tributes.

I think it's because he was so open about his drug taking and promiscuity, there are no skeletons in any of his cupboards to dig out.....and by all accounts he was a very nice and charismatic person

He wasn't that too me at all....I liked some of his music, but by no means all, so I just felt sad that he had gone.....nothing more really
