Is that it?...Bit unfair on Carol, she was only stating what most of us already know..
And then bleeping her out but BB airing the word themselves?! Wot?!
Seems really odd to me

I'm feeling a little sorry for Ron. He just looks a bit oblivious to it all. Or is my second glass of diet coke going to my head?
I have felt sorry for him since that wifeswap show. He looks broken.
Wifeswap - what have I missed?
I feel sorry for Big Ron..I don't believe he himself is racist, but what he said was ugly and hurtful..Lets not forget Big Ron was the first football manager to use black players in his teams. He made household names of many..I do think he needs to be forgiven, it will do him the world of good..I hope Charlotte is the other person up and she goes, she is just one irritating attention seeking mess..
All the black players that he helped build a football career all said that he is no way a racist, I trust their judgement.

yes - he does - but in our PC society what an awful thing to say - didn't know that = when did it happen??
I can't remember exactly but he was mad at one of the black players.......yet he was the manager that brought blsck players into the Premiership, so the saying was very bad and racist, but his past actions were far from it.....bit of a puzzler
He was off camera but his mic was on and called a black french player a lazy n----. it is puzzling as he did bring black players into premiership. Only him knows what his mindset was. I do feel sorry for him though. I dont think he should have done BB.
So, how does Ron ever get over his error?
He's spent time (presumably) trying to right a terrible wrong; lost his job (rightly so) and now Carol has just transported him back to square one.
It's not right somewhere.
The woman who can't talk properly has her bits hanging out tonight....No love, that won't work, you're still a useless presenter
And with that glimpse at the horror that is BOTS....I bid you all goodnight
night everybody
dont go
f*ck off cbb-shes repeating something ron said
Does that make Carol a racist for saying that word? if people accuse Ron (wrongly) of being a racist then so is Carol.
my step-son mixed race-always rings his black mates& starts convo with 'yo nigga' carol repeated a famous convo what ron said..no malice

Other black players said he wasn't racist....but why choose that word? He could have called him a lazy git and he'd have been OK, very puzzling

I don't think it was right that Ron lost his job over saying one wrong word...it's his actions that count, not one mistake.

i know and to Louie too. If Ron plays it smart he may turn this around.
Night all that are going

There was a radio discussion about this issue and a journalist pointed out that it may not have been of Ron's making to bring on the black players but a decision by the FA to instruct him to do so.

Some say its from the time he was born. It is puzzling though since he helped black players.

Such a difficult question, I would not know where to start to right the wrong of using a terrible racial slur. His managerial career would not suggest someone who has a dislike for black players, but saying something the way he did has people wondering if he has a more deep seated problem which he manages to hide very well most of the time.
I would hope it was one terrible mistake on his part and one that he bitterly regrets and has no basis on his real feelings and attitudes to black players.
I still think that those HM's who do not know his story may want to know or via a different line of questioning get to the point where someone would enlighten them.

Vids, football was reeling from racial abuse at all levels.. no one can condone what Ron said. Neither can it just be ignored.
All I'm saying is that he paid the penalty, moved on from the situation (albeit slowly and eventually)...and now someone has just transported him back to square one. He has no control over what she's repeated.

Haha the mystery continues.

When it happened I can remember feeling so dissapointed in him, I've forgiven him because I do believe he's an ok guy who made a dreadful mistake.

It's his story to tell though, isn't it?
It's not some off the wall madness (TOWIE or Geordie Shore) - it's serious stuff! And he said it.
If he WAS in the house to bury the racist tag then he's failed solely because of Carol's indiscretion. She didn't just give a brief outlne, she said the whole kit and caboodle!
Hahaha! Judi already trying to talk Courtney down as she's popular.

I remember it well. It was jaw-droppingly dreadful
You kind of hope that society has moved on since then.
And AJ making light of Charlotte punching the cake, "they didn't need to cut it".

Whatever the actual wording and argument and reason, BB was very happy to air it. Carol was just the excuse to do so.
Hahaha! Judi already trying to talk Courtney down as she's popular.
I can't bare Horse-toothed Judi or Pam Spurr both awful..
like the stasi-censorship
pathetic
they think we're that precious that we shouldnt listen to a convo we heard years ago
its like when we was on official BB site C4 and we used to get banned for anything even if we put a link up for youtube!
What is the point of AJ?

Dr Funke is no better. She tows the BB line more than the other two imo.
What is the point of AJ?
I'd love someone to answer that. I've wondered all summer.
Yes, that was pretty interesting in itself...
Iain having to prompt AJ yet again!

ah well we all knew it anyway
FFS AJ-LOUIS/SOPHIE/Lauren..How hard is that?

It's like asking who's Jack the Ripper - no one knows....

Yeah, we did. Louie didn't.
I reckon he did. He knew enough about Ron to put him up with the excuse that he wouldn't know enough about football to spend time with him yet he acted completely ignorant about him as Carol explained about Ron's indiscretions to him.
