I remember a rather intense teenage row with my mother about american tights vs bare legs... I think it ended in me wearing the damned tights til I turned the corner of our street... before ripping them off and slinging them into the bushes!

I remember a time when "ecru" tights were the in thing. OMG what a sight I must have looked.
