Day 23:The morning of the final

It's the day of the final, and as the last remaining housemates woke up this morning a wave of excitement spread around the House. Like an excited child, Frankie commented that he couldn't sleep because of all the nerves (or all the snoring)! In order to get a good night's kip, Frankie had made a makeshift double bed on the floor using two mattresses (how 'rock and roll'). Michael was first up this morning and decided that he would quite literally embrace the morning with open arms before taking a bow in the garden. Michael then sat gazing into the Jacuzzi and reflected (both literally and metaphorically).

Up next was Gareth, who paced around the House for a while before making his last Big Brother breakfast (which is just a regular breakfast but in the Big Brother House). As the Denise and Kristina eventually surfaced, they exchanged a cheerful high five to mark the occasion. Before long Gareth and Michael were sharing 'man time' in the gym where Gareth carried out his routine hardcore workout and Michael practised his ultra cool walk on the treadmill.

Any nerves were justified as tonight the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2012 will be announced. So will it be Gareth, Frankie, Denise, Michael or the twins? Each housemate has their fair share of ups and downs in the House and it's fair to say that each one has brought something different.

As well as being energetic and fun, Gareth has been quite a father figure. Frankie has been a 'Jack the lad' type, through which he's displayed a loveable charm. Denise has played the mother and has certainly been on a rollercoaster of emotions. Michael has been cool ad funny whilst making sure he had his fair share of the drama. The twins have been confident and exciting and have certainly made their mark upon the House. But which housemate should win? There's only one way to make sure that your favourite housemate comes out on top so get voting!

It’s the final night! Remember that your facebook votes MUST be used prior to the end of the vote tonight as they are non-refundable and non-transferable

Kristina & Karissa have finished in fifth place

K and K finish in fifth place!

The Playboy starlets had a quiet start in the Big Brother House; taking in how the show and the House dynamic worked and once they’d clocked it – it was time to rock the House.

Hailing from sunny LA, the former playboy bunnies had a little culture shock on arrival in the form of Frankie Cocozza. The friction sparks flew instantly between them, as Frankie spent the first couple of days rubbing them up the wrong way. The Twins found Frankie ‘being Frankie’ too much to bear. However, after some well needed romancing lessons from House sweetheart Romeo, Frankie finally won over the Twins in the Mr Perfect Task.

The Twins also formed a 'super hot' alliance with Irish model Georgia Salpa after Kirk and Frankie declared that the three were the hottest in the House (much to Nicola's disappointment). The Twins lead many a midnight discussion with Georgia, mainly about their plans to rule the roost as a trio, as well as other hot gossip topics, namely their initial dislike of Nicola.

Kristina and Karissa entertained us all when they were given a secret task to step up to the plate and fill the boots of another pair of mischievous twins in the 'Cheeky Cherubs' Task. The two were directed by former residents Jedward to get up to some serious hi jinks in the House, and that's exactly what they did, much to the disappointment of Frankie who bore the brunt of one of their pranks when they threw his clothing into the pool.

One of their most memorable moments took place in the final week when they came to blows with Denise following an incident during a girly night. Denise playfully tugged on Karissa's Pyjama trousers to pull them down, much to Karissa's dismay which resulted in a full-scale row amongst Denise, the twins, Nicola and Frankie. The night was dramatic for the girls to say the least, and all were left with a bitter taste in their mouth the following morning. Bonds however have since rebuilt and the girls will generally be leaving the House on good terms with their fellow housemates.

Overall, the twins proved that they were more than doubly prepared for all the challenges of House life, teaching some of the others that you shouldn't mess with them because there's "two of them." Well there's no doubt that Karissa and Kristina will be missed for their cool drinking song, 'booty poppin' dances and stories about the playboy mansion. Big Brother wishes the sexy duo all the best as they head back to the other side of the pond.

Michael is in fourth place

Michael Madsen has finished in fourth  placeâ€Ķ

The Hollywood actor played a starring role in the Big Brother drama, but ultimately he was out-staged by his fellow housemates tonight, who the public elected to save. Michael once stated , "There is no winner, just survivors."  Well, Michael, you are not the winner but your survival tactics were undoubtedly very entertaining and that's why you made it to the semi-final of Celebrity Big Brother 2012.

Before he even entered the House, it was clear that Michael was a straight talking man, and wouldn't stand for any nonsense during his stay within the House. However, despite his tough exterior, the actor surprisingly began his stay by striking up a heart-warming bromance with fellow superstar Andrew Stone. The two shared a lot of particularly interesting conversations, but were sadly split up when Andrew's fairytale ended  in the first eviction of the series. Michael's rather bizarre sense of humour was displayed in conversations with the Starman amongst others, and his fatherly traits were shown in his relationship with Frankie in particular.

On the other hand, Michael's more grumpy side was showcased in the House, too. It was Denise in particular that Michael wasn't always the biggest fan of: she seemed to have a particular way of getting under the actor's skin. He considered her to have a rather invasive nature, taking offense to when the 'Loose Women' presenter questioned him about, well, most things! Everything came to a head in last Wednesday's face-to-face nominations, with Michael finally putting his feelings on Denise straight for the record.  No doubt upon his departure he will tell us once again exactly what he thinks of his fellow housemate and his experience in the House.

Overall, with his admittedly slim knowledge of all things Big Brother, Michael did very well to get through the testing experience of such a show in the first place! He provided the House with more than a touch of Hollywood magic; along with some slightly more diva-ish moments that won't be forgotten. He'll go back to Hollywood with an experience he won't forget under his belt: good luck, Michael!

Gareth is in third place

Gareth has finished in third  placeâ€Ķ.

Gareth seemed something of an unknown quantity when he first he entered the House. The hugely recognisable rugby star's sometimes quiet nature made him hard to work out for some, although he soon immersed himself in Big Brother life, quickly becoming something of a father figure to our housemates. Gareth's been a confidant to many housemates as they've been through the (pardon the cliché emotional rollercoaster of Big Brother life. He has never been scared to voice his opinion when he needed to. His character has brought him closer to Denise and Nicola in particular, although he's arguably had favourable relationships with all of the housemates during his stay.

The rugby star's 'father' status within the House has meant that he's not experienced much drama in his time, preferring instead to be a mediator in tough times. He kept a level head even through the 'trouser-gate' situation, which saw many other housemates loose themselves in the argument. He made it very clear at an early stage of the argument that he was not going to take sides. He may have appeared fairly quiet as a result, and might not have gained him a sense of notoriety with the public: this might have been the reason why he was voted out tonight. On the other hand, though, Gareth undoubtedly gained new friends within the House, and he surely won't be upset at this fact.

Overall, Gareth was a housemate who enjoyed huge popularity within the House, even though he wasn't eventually revealed as the public's favourite. The star has proved a lot about his character during his Big Brother experience, and he left the House with his head held high. Congratulations, Gareth!

Frankie is in second place

Frankie has finished in second placeâ€Ķ.

Our youngest Celebrity of this series, Frankie Cocozza will be the sixth housemate to leave the Big Brother House. His celebrity status may have been questioned by some, but the 19 year old more than filled his shoes during his time on the show.

Those who presumed his media personality (cocky nature and arrogance) would stilt his success were proved wrong as we saw a more laid back character emerge. He was in awe of the likes of Gareth and Michael, saw Denise as a mother figure, but most notable of all he struck up a bond with Essex boy and Towie star, Kirk Norcross.

The two became an inseparable pair, and an unstoppable ladies duo. They tried their luck with the twins and Georgia, but with complete comedic failure. They loved to sing, Jacuzzi, play fight, and of course laugh. They even developed conjoined names on the outside world - Kankie, Kirkocozza and Kinky to name a few. When Kirk was shockingly evicted from the House, Frankie missed his wing-man terribly and he was noticeably quieter. It will be an interesting friendship to follow outside of the House.

It wasn't all rainbows and lucky charms though, the young rocker's potty mouth did get him in trouble and even got him nominated by fellow housemate Romeo who said he found Frankie's rude remarks about women unsettling. Some of the things that came out of his mouth shocked many, but he never failed to make his peers laugh (even if it was because he was being sick into a plant pot). He was the brunt of many a joke or prank, and sometimes took it with a sulk, but it all added to his bizarre charm.

Frankie entered at 18 with few positive notions to his name, and will leave at 19 with the public having a better understanding of the person behind the tabloid headline.  Frankie really proved that he is indeed a stand out guy when he came to Denise's defence during that infamous outburst with the twins and Nicola. He did himself proud and we can only imagine he will be leaving with more fans then he went in with, and definitely a new group of friends.

Leave your comments for Frankie and the best will be read out on Big Brother's Bit on the Side.
