me too cologne  i went into town with my parents last week christmas shopping and i took the bangle with me, thinking i would see if it was worth anything *its been broke and sitting in a drawer for about 20 yrs* and my dad said it's not worth anything, so i didn't bother, rang my dad tonight to gloat

Well done..my friend in England was telling me she took all her broken stuff to a place in Birkenhead market and he was giving £5 a gram more than what cash for gold are offering, they gave her £305....

did get my daughter a top up for her mobile so she was happy as well , when they said the price i stood there smiling and nodding like i knew it worth that much, inside i was thinking, quick grab the money and run

i thought it was about £7 a ounce and the bangle was 3 ounce, i nearly fainted when she said the price  nothing good ever happens to me , so i'm well pleased 

It No here's was £5 a gram, it depends on the day and where you go I suppose...on the open market it was closing at €735, seven hundred and thirty five euro an ounce yesterday....

There have been some shocking expose features on those Cash4Gold type places.

Apparently... they offer well below the market value... and if you dispute it and say you want your jewellery back.. they charge you postage... but big time postage (cos, they say you have said it is more valueable ... so the postage goes up).

The ads are all dubbed, cos they are originally recorded with american accents.  

I don't care about the accents...    I'm with Cologne on this one... the adverts drive me round the bend... with their "unwanted jewelllerlelely, and we will send you a special unwanted gold kit (i.e. and envelope).... 

Still not as bad as the mobile phone one... and that bloody WONGA bloke though

last sunday i text him asking him if he was coming here and he didn't reply....got him on the phone that night...he said he didn't see the texts  and said he was going to come to mine and then text and said he wasn't cos he was feeling down and wouldn't be good company...so i didn't ask him all week...he came here monday, wednesday, thursday without being asked...i'm confused as to what to do ask or not?

  Keep hold of the Bling    Better to buy than sell now.   All this gold being sold now will push the price up in the future. Ask yourselves why they are all desperate for it now?? The price will rocket in the future.

Because the price is extremely high, which indicates a market for it?  So they buy it cheap from casual punters and sell it on as bullion.  They're making hay while the sun shines.  The reason gold is so high now is because the other markets are a bit flaky and some investors want a safe haven for a while.  When the financial system has properly stablised, the direction becomes clear, and true economic growth begins again then gold will fall I expect.
