She really is an absolute moron
She really takes the biscuit,it's difficult to understand how any 22 yr old would come out with something so daft.
She's a dumpling.
I've never seen the Pope slurring his words on Easter Sunday.
She has no idea, but pretends to have.
I am sure head in hands was a countrywide reaction to her there

If she is so concerned ,when she goes back to Dublin she can have that convo with her local parish priest.

Although I did think I spotted him with a bit of chocolate on his chin

I doubt *Rough* Corin would have been that dumb.
What a plank. I was shouting at the telly then.
And that "fake" thing about Corin and the nominations, how stupid. Just because X, Y or Z Hms nominate her it doesn't mean they hate her, speaking pleasantly to someone you may have nommed isn't fake! It's being an adult and having a GRIP!

As Dave implied, I think Caoimhe has some issues with the Catholic church, and these are colouring her opinion of him.Reference:

Eugene being an Irish catholic myself I can safely say many many have issues with the church atm....However that aside I think anyone taught even basic religion would know the Pope is not the leader of all Christianity.
I didn't believe that she could come out with something as stupid as that....but she did
She's one of those that sucks the atmosphere out of everywhere she finds herself....why did she have to go and win that feckin' task?

Spot on, thats it exactly.
She's a prophet of doom...
Murky Dismal aka Caoimhe.
Murky is a nasty little being who lives in The Pits, his dark and dreary section of Rainbowland. Just as Rainbow Brite represents Brightness and happiness, Murky Dismal represents glumness and dreariness. Smiles and bright colors send him into fits of frenzy because such things are just too cheerful for words. In his Pits Laboratory, he sneakily concocts vaporous clouds of gloom which can be sent over people's heads whenever he wants to "gloom them down." His chief aim in life is to capture Rainbow Brite's Color Belt in order to disrupt the constructive activities in Rainbowland so that everyone will be as miserable as he is. When Murk Dismal is not plotting mischief at The Pits, he is traveling in his gray and gloomy vehicle, The Grunge Buggy, casting shadows on Rainbowland landscape and polluting the air and all living things with nasty fumes.

The point I was trying to make is that I got the impression that Caoimhe's comment was more of a "Freudian slip" than an actual misconception. I think she may have got her issues with Dave's views mixed up with her issues with the Catholic church's views, resulting in her mistakenly putting them together in the heat of the argument.Eugene being an Irish catholic myself I can safely say many many have issues with the church atm....However that aside I think anyone taught even basic religion would know the Pope is not the leader of all Christianity.
Having said that: I accept it is possible that she genuinely thought the Pope was the leader of all Christians. I've certainly met people who've made that mistake - even Catholics. However, they have all come from rather isolated backgrounds: the most notable being a Cuban woman I knew, who very much equated Christianity with Catholicism.
I see what you mean Eugene but this misconception in suburban Dublin is difficult to account for.
Apart from believing all the same crap, wearing silly outfits and being partial to drunkeness, Cafflick priests have nothing in common with Dave.

No, Ben is 30.
The misconception may have came from the fact the Catholic Church is the Largest in the Christian religion.
However that doesn't excuse her as a girl who is fluent in almost 3 languages surely has some brain cells knocking about there somewhere, or as they say those who are book smart have no common sense.
