Can you remember the days before crap like Heat mag and OK mag and zelebs were around, when being a star meant something, not having 15 mins of fame or getting your boobs out, or being famous coz your parents were famous. I miss those days.

I remember Pooly. I can't stand all the zeleb culture either. I never know who any of them are and I have no interest in their lives.
I quite fancy that ME Cheetah! book.
I don't pay any attention to any of it....especially not the sleb brats
Big Brother is largely to blame for this, Heat mag, reality TV, and the lazy society we all live in, sell your babies photos, sell your marriage and following divorce, and drug habit, what has society become?
I blame the 'readers'.

along with all the TV talent shows etc. and the 3000 channels - it is much easier to get your face seen on tv nowadays - not that i have tried Reference:

.... and their wives. Although some of the photos are good for decorating tips.
I agree, I stopped buying magazines years ago due to inane headlines like
(A) So and so sneezed in Tesco's
(B) So and so took her children to the park.
Whereas this is news
(A) So and so sneezed in Tesco's and 500 cans of baked beans ricocheted around the store injuring shoppers, then the roof caved in.
(B) So and so took her children to the park and they were attacked by armed squirrels dressed as Smurfs.

You're right!Zeus alors!
Nah....Big Brother didn't start it. Big Brother was never intended to be a quick route to getting your name in the papers in the first years. The tabloids found something easy to cover and it began to feed of itself. The people who read those magazines/papers started applying for the show and the show began to choose people who read those rags as they attracted more votes and increased the revenue.
I never read red tops or gossip magazines - I don't know 90% of the people in them. When BB contestants leave the house they disappear from my radar. Tis quite easy.

I'm sure I saw a very dodgy picture of Orville once.

We don't buy any mags or rags so am blissfully ignorant of celebs or zelebs, it's only when I'm online I see reference to some. A friend gave me some of her old mags recently, I quickly, very quickly, flicked through them, most of those mentioned I'd never heard of and those I recognised I wasn't interested in any more than they're interested in my life. Fame or infamy seems pretty shoddy these days
I remember when it was just MY Guy, Jackie and Smash hits....
Fame and fortune these days seems to be in the hands of the media They can enhance or ruin wannabes. Jedward-- can't sing or dance but the media has made it so they will be famous Wonder how KP will be portrayed once she leaves the Jungle???
Peter Andre, 'Dad of the Year' was great on the children in need show, but dad of the year? I do like him btw.
