A mic, thats all I think, not sure how it works, only ever used it once, didn't like it

I used it a few times when it was first brought out several years ago, to chat.... but found it was very echoey...... although better if I used earphones. Don't anything about the newer versions though. Is there no requirements listed on the site Dolly?

Didnt see any, but to be honest that doesnt mean they werent there

Skype is very good. Its good for cheap phone calls or free if the person on the other side also has skype. Its like MSN, as in you can just instant message, but when you make phone calls, the sound quality is much better than the MSN sound quality.
Like Tigi said, you need a mic 9and headphones) if you want to make actual voice calls.

To be honest I just want it for seeing my grandchildren on my lap top and hearing them. We have all got phone packages that make the land line calls really cheap.

Dolly, you'd be just as well to stick with MSN then, you'll be able to talk via a webcam on MSN.

We skype with my kids grandma, she lives other end of the country. Its great - really keeps them in touch. My daughter draws pictures on her etchasketch and holds them up during the chats...and we can take them for 'guided tours' of the house and stuff - just makes them feel really involved with us all. They wouldnt have much of a relationship with our kids otherwise...just too far away to see them more than twice a year.

My fella uses it to talk to an old workmate who has moved to Dubai, I walked in one day and he was having a full conversation with his feet up and a beer in his hand.......dead easy dolly

Yeah, you can webcam and mic chat on MSN.

Hi Dolly we have Skype, yes you need a webcam and mic to speak to your friends and family, we also have headphones. An earlier version wasn't as good as the one we have now, enjoy the free calls

I've got a Skype telephone, but it's not mobile, it's plugged into the puter and I hate sitting still on the phone! I don't use it, now, though, cos we have a free landline phone deal at the mo.
