If I get shot down by you lot, so be it..

Last night I noticed a lot of forumers getting a bit heated with each other, and also noticed the slating of a particular HM's fans...I have to say it's not on! I don't come onto the forum to get into a slanging match with folk, I like light hearted banter, and teasing, but underlying nastiness is kind of off-putting.

The HM's are fair game in BB, it's always been the case for as long as I can remember.

However when has it been ok to slate forumers and thier reasons for liking a HM?

Surely it's out of personal choice who we choose to support?

Remember BB is nearly over folks, so getting into a petty argument is kind of redundant after the 4th September as we will still be forum members.

There I've said it...I'm wearing my motorcycle helmet as I type... Ninja Big Grin

If everyones tastes were the same it be a funny world.

I like Marcus to win, second Siavash, so why slate him Clapping

Thank you, HM's I can deal with the slating I do it myself, but my point is slating forum members simply because they like a particular HM.

Every year there is a housemate who people like enough to be a contender.....and the same housemate provokes such strong reactions in people they have to enter every thread about them just to hate them more. Big Grin

This year it is siavash, last year it was Rex.

And the spooky thing is the ranting they display is often exactly how their favourite (this year it's marcus) behaves....so if nothing else you can understand why some people like ranty, shouty people...because they recognise themselves in that housemate maybe.

This by no means describes marcus's fans on the whole...he has been a bloody good housemate and its a shame either him or the vash will go tonight(hope the vash stays).....it just describes the handful of predictable obsessives who like to spit the dummy out at every opportunity...maybe they think they are being rebellious Big Grin

Great thread, needed saying.

I give my opinions without any malice towards any fm, they can and have digs back how often they like, its no skin on my back and i dont ever get into forum wars. Ive watched them and each person involved, right or wrong, are trying to score points, trying to belittle fm's. They need to get out more, thats about all i can say

I agree with a lot of what has been said, and have always thought that by putting themselves onto a national TV game show, the housemates have to accept that they will be open to criticism about every aspect of their lives and behaviour. Abusive and personal comments to other FMs are completely different, and are unnecessary. But I have to say that, having been on the C4 forum on a very regular basis since BB5, the level of animosity and unpleasantness between FMs over their views on the housemates is way, way less than I can ever remember (problems about other issues are a different matter!). I think it's partly because one or two of the really abusive trolls from C4 don't seem to have found their way over here, and maybe also that a lot of the younger teens who used to register on C4 aren't here either.

I totally agree Senora... it seems to happen every year, but that doesn't make it ok.

The boundary between having a pop at a housemate, and having a pop at someone for liking that housemate is clear and important one.

BTW... I can't keep up with who the baddie fans are anymore Laugh

Is it Marcus fans??

Maybe I should switch ... and become a Lisa fan Ninja

I think the one yesterday of threats of violence to Dave were really out of order and unnecessary. I don't think any HM should have to put up with that.

Eeker I have to admit though, that I have said I've wanted to fly-kick Charlie. Ninja

Oh my, I mustn't be paying too much attention! I know there are some people on here who repeat themselves no matter what thread, but hey!...

Actually I sometimes say something then go to another thread and forget to check back or lose where I was lol...

All I know is I want Siavash to make it through tonight, and all the way to the finish line! he really does deserve to win... (had to say it)AGAIN!!! Wink

I thought I had developed a thick skin last year when I supported Rex, but some of the comments still make me go Eeker

I wanted Rex to win too! I didn't mind Rachel but she was boring.
