Sometimes it's good (IMO) to take time out.I do tend to get involved in contentious threads because it's interesting. Sometimes - it gets heated.

It's all good - i love this forum - it's a second home for me. For most - it's hunky dory all the time. When you're an opinionated old bat like me it doesn't hurt to take time out from time to time (probably).

People can have extremely opposite views, yet remain courteous.

It frustrates me, and upsets me, if people resort to personal insult and abuse to express themselves.

You do not do that.

Most people at GaGa do not do that.

Most people at GaGa prove you can hold different views and still get along comfortably.

Don't worry.

. brisket's right, nothing to fret about. You're always fair Soozy. Hope you don't go vanishing again.

I don't know to what precisely you're referring Suzy, but think that sometimes the subjects discussed can be v close to home for certain individuals and when that happens/ something hits a raw nerve of personal experience and/or is something a person feels v passionately about, then it's understandable that some will either stay away from the thread or will be reluctant to post for fear of 'losing it.' Maybe under those circumstances, if they see that someone has a similar view to theirs, they then feel more able to post?

You haven`t really shut up though have you cologne?  You still pick away at her when she`s around.

I don`t agree with PP 95% of the time but it seems you can`t help yourself.. no matter what she says, you pounce.

Only you can control that.

I think you're right  I think sometimes I take things too personally when there is no need too. I'm posting sober now.

Cheers all  I apologise - it was nothing more than a tipsy over indulgent rant.

Probably best if it drops off the page.

I really wouldn't want anyone to lose it on account of me but when I hear stuff like that it makes me uncomfortable TBH. I shut down for a bit. (Not too long, but I do). Am I alone in this?

I know I'm not the 'easiest' of FM's but I don't set out to offend.

Soozy

Its probably all done and dusted now, but i like it when peoples opinions are different to others. Why should anyone follow what others say just to appease.

But i am also nosy, i have not read that people won't post until someone backs them up? is this correct?

Well I'm not gonna rake over old coals. I was obviously feeling a bit sensitive and a little anxious that I'd unwittingly upset someone. It really isn't worth dragging it all up IMO. I guess every single one of us has something that we feel sensitive about ....................I'm sure most of us don't set out to offend but .......it's forum life I suppose.

Apology accepted.   I guess everyone is entitled to a rant now and again, and to say things they probaby shouldn't.  At least you apologised.

I'm so glad you responded. I really thought I'd offended you and it was never my intention to offend! I'm so relieved to know that it wasn't anything I'd said
