Ta moomin I am the same! I have about twenty vines and have felt lucky to have a couple of pounds only. Some outside plants have some kind of blight... I am not the only one.!

My tomato plants all eight of them ended up with green fruit, then they started dying from the root up, leaves wilting and going brown, it was a virus in the soil, lost them all.Picked most of the tomatoes off but only a couple ripened. Very disappointing. Frowner

Don't give up... time for testing patience I'm afraid! Hug

Lincolnshire is a very large county! Cool Several people I know have had some trouble this year, even someone who usually helps to supply a green grocer has not done as well!

Well I'm in Glasgow,a lot further North. You cannot grow a lot of the stuff that you grow outdoors in Kent,Tomatoes etc.WE have rain, rain, and more rain. This was a bad year all round, one lot of carrots failed, one lot of parsley failed.Onion sets were so so.Well I bought them from the pound shop this year so I still have over 70 onions for a quid! Big Grin

However my late flowers are doing great, dahlias, nasturtiums, sunlowers etc...full of hover flies and bees in the late september sun.Even butterflies in the buddleja.

Our apples on the other hand - I've never known a year like it - even our Bramley tree, which normally produces very few has a lot on it.
