Is the BB house licensed for marriages?

well one would hope there'd be wine at least
It'll be even more fake than Mario and Steph's 'wedding'

Is the BB house licensed for marriages?
No. I'm not an expert, but I can say with 99.9% certainty that it will not be legally possible. We went through all the legal details in the build-up to BB8, when the Daily Star claimed there was going to be a gay wedding, and we went through it all again for the fake wedding task in BB9.
Basically, the house has to be a licensed venue (and it must be the house - outdoor weddings are not allowed, which is why those in the know would have know that Mario's wedding was a fake.)
From memory, the venue has to be licensed at least a month in advance of the wedding, and this requires at least one inspection by a local council representative (can't remember if the registrar has to inspect the location or not).
Upshot is that the house can't possibly be already licensed, because it would have meant an inspection a month before the series start - and the house wouldn't have been fully-built at that stage. Also, if they were to try to set things in motion, it would take at least a month - by which time there's a good chance Caoimhe will no longer be there.
And that's presuming a whole stack of other legal issues go the way of BB, such as the registrar considering the house an appropriate venue - hardly a certainty...
On top of that: if the house becomes a licensed venue, they can't be selective who they allow to use it: anyone could apply to be married there. This is the problem Charles and Camilla had when they tried to get married in Windsor Castle. There's no way BB would run the risk of 100's of fans demanding to be married there.
In short - this ain't gonna happen...
It's rubbish and I wish I could say that I didn't think she would stoop so low, but I can't.

In a word - no. They're all a bit loopy, if you ask me.

Thanks Eugene - that's what I thought, but you had a lot more detail than me. (We still have the possibility that it was inspected just before launch night and is now approved and a few palms in the local council have been greased, of course )

There's always one...!
Her bf said on BBLB he wouldn't get married in the BB house so she's been made to look even more ridiculous now. I can't believe she won the save and replace task I can't stand the sight or sound of her.

I didn't see that. It doesn't surprise me at all Iffy's very nasty on the quiet and yes I agree it's completely out of order from both of them.Reference:

Firstly, there isn't a housemate called Kevin, and secondly - as pointed out already; Iffy stooped fairly low herself with the slut comment.

Firstly, I am referring to the FM's right to insult Kevin since Kevin has said things to people in that house which are far more insulting and personal. Secondly, yes there is a housemate called Kevin. Nobody is ever going to convince me that thing is female.Add Reply
