There are some old CH4 people on FB that are looking for a new forum to join for some reason they won't come here

I'd post on both. From what I've seen on FB this place has a bit of a name for being 'cliquey'

I'd have a nosey at it and if it was any good I'd join.I post on DS too,although I hate the appreciation threads over there,even if they are "seperate", stuff always spills over onto the main board.

Well I wouldn't be arsey in any way shape or form but .....................I just can't see what's so wrong with this forum that they stay away (and obviously discuss it elsewhere). The more the merrier IMO.
Oh and I bloody hope that Josie lummox has nothing to do with it..I see skippy has buggered orff back to Australia.

Well, I'll definitely be hanging around here - no question.
I'd probably spend some time reading an "official" forum, just as I've tended to do on other BB sites such as DS.
Whether I actually posted on an "official" site would depend on a number of factors such as how busy it was, the behaviour of the Mods, level of censorship, amount of trolling, how interesting other FM comments are, etc.
The last point is probably the most important: if it turns into a drool-fest for the equivalent of the JJJ fans who dominated the official C4 site last year, I'll probably be staying well away. Judging by some of the comments on C5's "wish list" page already, the omens aren't good...

I can't being doing with any drooling..! Or E iz fit innit type stuff either.
I'm with Syd and what they said earlier; watching the show and trying to type at the same time is as multi-tasking as I get.
Oh, and I do love a highlights thread. The ones on here have always been a laugh and full of good natured FM's. 
if Channel 5 decided to head hunt the old Channel 4 BBGF moderators and get them to open and run an identical forum through Channel 5, would you join it and post regularly like you did on C4 forums, or would you stay here?
Personally I'd stay here as I think the moderators here are far more sensible and less power crazy. I look back and don't know how we coped with the domestic forum abuse we suffered at the hands of those C4 mods.

it's nothing to do with forum snobbery. You yourself expressed difficulty settling in here Soozy, maybe others found the same, or found it too difficult to use so never settled in here. Certainly the mates that I have from C4 on FB don't suffer from any kind of forum snobbery, in fact they're among the nicest, warmest, friendliest bunch of people I know.
Perhaps people feel that an official forum, like the C4 one is more their thing, which is why they'd like to see an official forum on C5. That seems to have been the intent behind the poll that was started on FB anyhow. But I'll ask if the person who started it is suffering from some sort of forum snobbery and see what they have to say.
I would have thought the Daily Star forum would be the new official BB forum.

I loved C4 when it was bouncing! Nutters and all it was fascinating coming into contact with all the different characters and meeting new people that you bonded with just because you liked/disliked a certain character, and some of the nonsense or funny threads that just sprung up from nowhere were fab! I used to have real problems tearing myself away, and my housework didn't go undone through watching BB. it was the fun of the forum that kept my hoover in the cupboard.
Well this is named as a BB forum so I would imagine newbies would come here expecting to read about BB!

Sounds like the open chat event is a good idea! You all can help me keep track of date and time for the premiere, and I'll set it up. If it turns out to be fun, we can do it on a regular basis.
