Thanks everyone but having an unusual name makes you stand out, no one can be bothered to say it properly or spell it right. You get called the girl with the funny name. My teachers were very rude and didn't bother to ask how it should be pronounced. The only person I know who said it properly with no prompting was my GP. When I spent weeks and weeks and weeks in hospital over the years the nurses all called me Danny or Da'g'ny (G said like in 'g'olf) with a real emphasis on the 'g' and I told them so many times...

I hate having an unusual name to be honest.
