Im not allowed bread a.t.m. but if I was, it would be potato bread or soda farl mmmmm.
Surely you can't have those without a big fry up!?
Yep they go lovely in a fry, but they're lovely toasted with butter too.
I deep fry mine when having a fry
Thats an Ulster Fry even better with fried wheaten bread on the side
Oh, well seeing as I'm in Ulster then that's all good

Crumpets!
Crumpets!
Now you're talking
Mr Cosi likes them for brekky. I try to resist but..........
Pikelets
crumpets don't taste of anything, and if you put anything on them to make them taste of some thing, other than their inherent non crumpet taste, it falls thru the holes and dribbles onto the plate , leaving your crumpet as tastless as it started.
your plate tatses better.
Crumpets are like bath sponges....
I'd rather eat a bath sponge.
I'd never turn my nose up at crumpet.

You two are WRONG.
Crumpets need to be ever so slightly crispy.
Spread of butter and a nice bit of marmite on top.
And don't be giving me no marmite aggro!
when i say crumpets are like bath sponges, I don't mean scottish crumpets which are more like very thin pancakes. I like them.. fruit one are lovely. The little holey things Warburtons do in packets are just ... nothing...
Bet the Crumpet haters are not toasting them right.....they must be slow toasted under a grill, or on a toasting fork in front of the fire....never in a pop up toaster
Pikelets
Never tried them - they look like square crumpets to me
What exactly is the difference?

You have to be selective in your crumpet purchasing, I agree Wharburtons are rubbish as is all their bread.
Crumpets toasted on an open fire .....Mmmmmmmmmmmmm - nothing like it.
