Have a kipper tie
Like Pirate, I've lived in Brum for many years but have never adopted the accent cos I had those ellekuchun lessons to get rid of my Irish accent (long story) anyhoo I must admit I do find it a bit of a whiny accent 
I confess to occasionally saying goo instead of go but apart from that I don't think I speak very brummiefied. 
Howsomeever, I do feel that everyone from the West Midlands is generically termed as having a 'Brummie' accent when it's not so - a black country accent is far stronger than a brummie one and is usually what people refer to as being a brummie accent 
(sorry I've got my Worzel Gummidge head on today that can't explain things properly)
