I don't think I particularly like anyone mentioned so far apart from Julian Clary , and I'm extremely and highly (to the point of murderous) very ANTI at the thought of Matt Baker, Lisa Riley, Vernon or Alex Jones.

Someone with dance knowledge or at least an appreciation of it would be a good start I suppose, although that leads us perilously towards John Barrowman.

Has anyone asked Ray Winstone if he's busy?

PMSL!

Why do you think Julian would do a good job though, given that he doesn't appear to have had that much dancing experience

They don't have to have dance experience to present... they just need to have a personality and a bit of banter.

he died in 1995.... so he's a fair suggestion to replace Brucie...

Claudia Winkleman is reportedly set to co-host Strictly Come Dancing with Tess Daly.

The 42-year-old presenter is said to be the 'first choice' to replace the departed Sir Bruce Forsyth after he quit the BBC One ballroom show on Friday.

The brunette star is said to have impressed when stepping in for the 86-year-old entertainer on the Sunday night results show.

'She's first choice': Claudia Winkleman is reportedly set to co-host Strictly Come Dancing with Tess Daly

A BBC insider told The Sun newspaper: 'They are certainly the first choices. Detailed discussions will start shortly and it is hoped everything can be sorted out.'

Sources also told the publication that Claudia would be keen to take on the Saturday night role, which involves interviewing the contestants after they have danced and getting their reactions to their performances.

This would mean Tess, who signed a new two-year deal with the show last year, would take over Bruce's role of introducing the celebrities and their professional partners ahead of their weekly routine as well as having some entertaining chat with the show's judges.

I'd be happy with Claudia, think Julian Clary would be great but would be VERY angry if it was Lisa Riley!!

Graham Norton has said he’s not keen on replacing Sir Bruce Forsyth on Strictly Come Dancing 2014.

The chat show host said he’s too lazy to front the BBC one series in the autumn, despite being one of the favourites to take over from Sir Brucie.

“I wouldn’t jump at the chance,” he told The Sun newspaper this morning. “I really enjoy the show but it’s a very tough gig.

“I think it’s very hard for a new person to take over, and I’m quite lazy.”

Instead, Graham reckons that Claudia Winkleman should takeover alongside Tess.

“If they just stick with Tess and Claudia then I think that’s the sensible way forward,” he suggested. “I think as a tried-and-tested duo they’re great and work really well together.

“But if they did want someone new then the advantage is that it’s a show that’s up and running so whoever wants to present it will know whether they like it or not.

“It’s much harder to go into a new format where you don’t know what it’s like.”

Strictly kicks off in September on BBC One.

Celebrity names already linked to the new series of Strictly include former Corrie star Michelle Keegan, TOWIE’s Mark Wright and James Arg Argent and X Factor winner Joe McElderry.

There have also been rumours that Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean could take part after Dancing On Ice’s final series concluded earlier this year.

Blimey Graham Norton must be the laziest person going then if he thinks Strictly is a tough gig. . what's tough about shuffling your feet for 10 seconds at the start of the show and grabbing thingy's leg then introducing a few dance partners and asking a judge for his score...

Tess always had the most work to do cos she interviewed them. .Bruce was just a waste of space
