I know, I know, I know ..............................Julian Clary
He would be great!

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo - I can't stand her.
Here's a thought ........................Louie Spence? ***ducks**
Sorry Soozy I didn't read the thread notice you'd posted the same suggestion before me.
Would they go with a past contestant?
Matt Baker might be good, and probably wouldn't irritate too many people
I think it was time for Brucie to go and I'm glad he didn't cling on to the bitter end.
I'd be more than happy with the lovely Matt Baker as a replacement.
Russell Brand!
Russell Brand!
NO WAY!!!!!

NO WAY!!!!!
Take that .......................................
John Barrowman would be good .......don't know why he popped into my head. First one I thought of ............stay tuned - I'll make a 'list'.
John Barrowman is the most annoying tryhard I've ever seen on TV, I pray it's not him.

DITTO.
Got to be Anton....he's a pro dancer, good in front of camera, funny and young enough to stay awake during the whole show.

Time for Anton to hang up his dancing shoes?
He's become irritating too now Kaffs
I'm beginning to get a little concerned that it could be Lisa Riley who has been v well received oh this years tour
Piers Morgan anyone?
I have a feeling it will be Vernon Kay
Paddy Power has the showâs dancing regular as the favourite to take over at 7/4 followed by funny man Graham Norton and John Barrowman both priced up at 9/2.
Not Graham Norton , please !
I was going to suggest Graham Norton....you no likey?
There doesn't seem to be anyone on who we unanimously agree. He's come in for a lot of stick over the years has poor old Brucie and I'll agree that it's time for him to go. IMO ..........they're big shoes to fill though - I think he has been a key element to the success of Strictly.
We'll have to wait and see ....................sometimes (in the words of Joni Mitchell) 'You don't know what you've got till it's gone'.
and me
and me
and me.
I wonder if the BBC will change theri misogynist tack and have a [possibly] doddery woman in her 80's as the main presenter and surrounded her by a couple of young male totty..
I very much doubt it

I know what you mean.. but I just think he's like a younger Brucie, so nobody would much notice the difference. I'd hate Lisa Riley to get the job. That said, I sort of zone out between the dances anyway (and if it's recorded I fast forward through the links) so I'm not that much bothered either way. I'd stay tuned if it was julian Clary though.

They asked, but i'm busy.

Well perhaps we could all agree on who would be our worst nightmare presenter (s) . Mine would be Louis Spence ....closely followed by Lionel Blair !
Ditto what Baz said

Right let's think positive. Who could you stand? For me, ex contestants including Matt Baker, Chris Hollins or Mark Ramprakash would be fine. I think a man would be better and I wouldn't mind if they ditched Tess and got someone like Holly Willoughby to replace her.

Dame Judy Dench ???

Lionel Blair, Lisa Reilly or Jim Davidson would have me (in the style of Kaffs or was it Yogi?) throwing my slippers at the telly.

Not on the BBC's ever decreasing budget
They could get what's her face the ex news reader that presented the previous late night professionals version.. Angela Rippon?
Probably end up being someone in their ever decreasing pool of presenters they can afford to use like Emma Willis.. .hasn't she joined the BBC for something or other
In fairness tho Tess was second in command and should get top spot now.. but I still always get the feel from the BBC that the women they employ are just totty to them and not to be taken seriously.. tho maybe that is me harking back to the Jimmy Saville yrs and their look the other way policy at him and his peodo ways and all the other female gropers they employed back then too and not getting any feeling that they have changed much in the upper echelons old boys network ..
Here's a few
If I didn't know better, i'd say you had all those in a handy little gallery, EC.......

No, unfortunately not. I just typed into Google "BBC female presenters".

I think Angela Rippon could do a good job, but I think it should be down to the 'second in command' They know the ropes
Lorraine Kelly
