On tv again tonight.
I shall watch it again. Each time I see it I like it more.
I expect I shall cry again too.
There is no betrayal of the original Annie Proulx short story. Any little tweaks and additions are
only done for clarity and congruity.
Beautifully directed and lovely performances all round.
An all-time favourite of mine.

Considering I'm a film fan, I have to confess that I've never seen Brokeback Mountain as it seems rather depressing. But there are so many films to choose from and I tend to watch films which fit my mood at the time. There's many famous good films I've never seen such as Titanic, Jaws, Saving Private Ryan as I have chosen not to.

I should say that I have nothing against the directors of these films, I've seen plenty of their other films and enjoyed them. Though if I had realised that the ending of AI is in my view the most pessimistic ending of any film ever made, I don't think I would have seen that either.
