So, therefore, I was right

I said in work today - it was either his Mum, his Gran, the detective or her hubby - because they were the only ones not under suspicion so far - so I was a quarter right.

they didn't mention that extra scene on scottish telly - not that I'd have missed anything.     do you think they'll keep the name and have different characters - how can DT still be in it if he's medicalled out?

I think everyone's had a "pleased but bemused" reaction to that announcement at the end. Goodness knows how they're going to do it, but then they're making a new series of "The Bridge", and I thought that wasn't possible with the same cast either...

Hmmmmmmmm ............i don't think I could have paid proper attention throughout TBH. Too many red herrings and too many loose ends. Why did that woman have the skateboard? Why did she give the name of her son as the person she saw? What did the detectives sister have to do with anything?

Maybe I should watch/listen more attentively

I had a bit of a wobble - a sort of 'oh no, don't spoil it now' (i.e. by going ott and far-fetched).  But fortunately they reigned it back in just in time.

It just wouldn't happen in the real world.

Can't remember why she had the skateboard, I think she honestly thought it was her son as they look quite similar and I haven't got a clue about the detective's sister. Last time I saw her she was Tanya's alcoholic sister in Eastenders!!

I thought that - a bit type cast don't you think?

Welcome to my world, Soozy

I've the attention span of a gnat.  I talk myself out of watching something by saying I don't have the time or patience or that I'll watch it on Sky + later.  Then I sit flitting through the channels for the next 2 hours...when I could have spent 1 hour watching something half decent.

Didn't she see his body on the beach (but not report it - presumably because she thought she'd seen her son leave the body there?) and took the skateboard away (to hide maybe?)    she might have given his name because she did think it was him - she told him he had more of his father in him than he knew remember?  (I just thought of that now)    The sister just happened to see the killer put the clothes in the bin - but she didn't think it was Joe either at the time.

I'm not really sure why she took the skateboard (I think she was a bit odd) but she did give it to Tom, saying he should have it as his friend.

She could have saved a lot of aggro just calling the police at the beginning

I loved the way they didn't reveal the killer and that was it - but showed all the after story - I really felt for poor Ellie

Cosi - I'm so like you - I can never be bothered to concentrate properly (often I'm snaffling ) - I'm forever winding back - it's a wonder I ever get to the end of anything!!

It's the reason I rarely watch films - I absolutely love Doctor Who but never understand it - the grand kids explain it to me.

I'm determined to concentrate on the Lemonade Girls though.

I think you may mean The Ice Cream Girls...?

I feel better now that I know you've paid less attention than me

Sky+ gets ramped up with 4-5 episodes of some new drama series on a regular basis.  Then it starts getting dangerously full... so I delete aforesaid drama.

I'm my own worst enemy!

Started off with both the Soprano's AND Boardwalk Empire in exactly the same way; never seen an episode of either of 'em!

Joe, the "extra footage" is the scene of Danny's wake which I've embedded in the OP. The "anouncement" was the message in the closing credits that there would be a second series.
