I do like Susan, but I am glad she didn't win as the best act won

Hear, hear subeloo...talk about pot and kettle! It would appear it's ok for Storm to say that contenstants are crap and make personal disparaging comments about them e.g. about that 13yr old girls 'moustache'..but woe betide anyone who says anything about Susan Boyle!
I have just read what Storm said about Aiden. Tut Tut.quote:Originally posted by Supercalifragilistic:quote:Originally posted by subeeloo:

Also, that 'dancer' (Aiden,) was utter shite. Thank God HE didn't win!
Dunno how you can say that, he is brilliant. I do think he was better the night before though.

And the rest she said were 'crap' etc. throughout the show- just like everyone else really..it's a forum fgs!
Thank God the GBP got this one right....Diversity were the best act by a country mile.

I was actually agreeing with you. It seems Storm can say exactly what she wants (and she can because its a forum fgs) But she thinks its ok to rip other people apart because they dont like the people she likes.

This is an old clip and a bit long but I'd love some of you to watch it. It kind of sums up Susan Boyles experience.
harry Chapin is/was my absoloute favourite singer/sonwriter.
it really is worth a listen

that muscle has a mind of its own
I see the press are trying to make excuses for Susan Boyle not winning , why can't they just admit Diversity were the best yesterday and deserved to win.

does anyone know if the final is repeated today? i missed half of htat too
She was beaten by the best act and she acknowledged that so why some areas of the press feel they have to defend her corner I dont know.

Any chance of even more repeats do you think?

I missed all the forum stuff but saw most of the acts and the result. I haven't the stamina to got back through the whole thread ... so did anyone else think SuBo was heavily sedated after her act?
don't know but I only found out last night that she was deprived of oxygen at birth, I did think she was a bit eccentric. She's been put in an odd position via this competitition
My main question is WHO THE HELL voted for the Richard Clayderman type saxaphone player??? What WERE they thinking? Have they never passed a street busker in their life before???

Great post Storm on page 301. Like you I donât think she was annoyed that she didnât win. If anything she looked relieved thinking it will all stop being so personal. But, little did she know that it would not stop the vicious tongues from wagging. To tell the truth I secretly wished she wouldnât win so she can start again in a while with the right PR working for her.

I did and I've also passed many a street busker who certainly weren't of the same calibre or, indeed, in his league!!
Julian Smith was simply sensational.

Well whilst I agree that he didn't exactly play difficult tunes, what he did play, he played well enough. Although he wasn't anything particuarly outstanding, I thought what talent he did have completely outclassed anything else on the show. I'm still trying to understand the entertainment value in the fat father and son wobbling round the stage, the devil brat from hell, or the grandad and his daughter.quote:Originally posted by jonono:

I reckon SuBo will be fine, targetting (say) America. I think Hollie is destined for the West End now as I can see an "As Seen On BGT" on a bill poster in my mind's eye. Stavros is just a novelty act and I think they'll have a few bookings out of this. Not sure about Aidan, he's good but street-dancing is a niche thingy I think. He'll get some PAs for a while. 2 Grand ... immediate obscurity.
I've just seen the result show and I thought that Susan Boyle was really lovely at the end.
I thought Simon was hilarious as well when Ant and Dec said that everyone was deserving of winning and he totally disagreed

I knew the british public would get fed up with Susan Boyle in the end, she got far too much worldwide coverage and maybe a bit too big for her boots.
But I liked her, she was very talented.

She seemed very genuine about Diversity winning.
