the boy who sang michael jackson; i thought the same, but someone told me that they all have to have 2 songs prepared so simon would have known there was an alternative to valerie.

Before this year's BGT started, I would have disagreed, but I agree now. That boy singing the MJ song was so unbelievably staged and contrived, that it was laughable and pathetic IMO. The little girl ballerina who started singing (who sorry to her fans, I thought was very predictable and too much like a million others,) was obviously staged too.

I loved Susan Boyle and that did seem genuine, but it wouldn't surprise me if it turned out she WAS asked by the producers to audition, especially after finding out she has 'professionally' recorded some tracks before, which can be found on the internet.

It is all very contrived this year, and I am a bit disappointed. Also, there are very few acts that are really good.

My daughter and her pal went to audition as a singing female duo, back in October 2008, and they never got a call back, and they are actually quite good. But unless you are a novelty act, under 7 and amazingly cute, monumentally bad, or an experienced professional who has already had some degree of semi-professional and professional experience; you won't get on the show. It's a farce IMO.. and contrived and predictable to boot.

It's a shame, coz I loved the first one, and thought last years was OK too, until George 'limb-flinger-extraordinaire' won. My cat when she has been sniffing 'cat nip,' dances better than him. How he ever won Britian's Got Talent, has baffled me to this day.

I agree. Talent is the least important thing.

Its exactly the same as Xfactor my friend has been and you go through 4 auditions before you see Simon and he is given all the notes off the other people who auditioned them....

I've stopped watching the show but did see the dance group called Diverse who i thought were fantastic.

Don't care its been brill this year loads of talent

Except the 'jazz hand' kids i don't like them

i am sure that little girl is ovely ...but i didnt like her.... the little boy may well be very talented but did nothing for me....

now Mr pugh from this weekend made me cry not ony cos i loved the song but the way he sang it.....susan my be a ringer but omg i like her voice god help me
