Its come to my attention that I have not watched a single ounce of BGT this year...I am so proud of myself

 

We are probably just being a little grumpy about this. We had The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bowie, Free, The 'oo, and May Blitz. Cowell has provided their equals for the modern generation. I'm sure that SuBo, JLS, Burke, and of course Olly Murs will go down in history also.

If I had known mr meat was here I would have given a mention to The Oasis.

I think it's bloody disgusting! I read the fantasy story a couple of days ago and it talks about SyCo encouraging the boy to act "gay"   (Yeah right...... like that's worked well for male performers in the past. ) Poor lad....... he has to go back to school with that crap hanging over him!

 

And since when have SyCo ever invested time in developing acts? I thought peoples main criticism of shows like these were that they were all about a fast buck? That they drop any act who doesn't deliver within a very short time frame...... (not that I disagree about them dropping Joe McElderry........I personally think he should have been dropped before he was even picked up )

 

I've honestly never read such a poorly constructed fabrication in my life! The "blogger" could have fooled us all if only they had made it just a touch realistic. We're all more than willing to believe the devil is at work on reality TV

 

Tis funny ......cos the people most likely to believe this rubbish are the same ones who claim BGT and the like are "dumbing down" Britain.

BTW, my teenager has just told me that I can't mention the fact that she hasn't done any science revision yet, as it makes her go 'funny'.

Mine has actually cleaned her room and tidied it.

Normally that would involve five weeks of threats, at least. 

Whether people believe this or not, I believe it.  And I also believe that the people in the final are chosen very early on...  This Ronan character is someone that Cowell has earmarked for fame LONG before the auditions started..., and just like everyone else who the ratbag signs, he will be ditched when he loses his 'flavour of the month' status. 

 

Simon Cowell is a money grabbing tosser who uses people, gives them very little, and ditches their asses at the drop of a hat.  He is a manipulative backstabbing bastard.  As for that old man getting in the final over and above 'out of the blue;' what an effing joke!  Even the audience were outraged.  This show is pathetic!

Anything is believable, if you want to believe it.

 

That's the power of any old twunt putting any old twaddle on t'internet. 

On the basis that there is no carry over into the serious media, not even Marina Hyde, I believe that there is very little interest in BGT. Thus another, stating the obvious, but designed to shock the vulnerable, news item surfaces.

If this one doesn't work then expect a few more well scripted vignettes a la X Factor.

Anyhooz, I believe it could be true even though Mr C categorically denied it!  Coz I know what this money grabbing twat is like.  No smoke and all that.................. JMO OF COURSE.

I agree with this Cupcake but.........     year after year after year despite knowing that as soon as they stop making money for him, Cowell gets rid of them at the drop of a hat.  Thousands upon thousands of people still audition and believe that they are worthy of a record/entertainment deal that will propel them to instant stardom.

 

Even the relatively few people who have succeeded have only done so to a certain degree - Leona Lewis one massive hit and a couple of minor ones, Alexander Burke again one massive hit followed by minor ones.  Cheryl Cole - fair few good hits admittedly as part of Girls Aloud, one fairly massive hit and some minor ones, but not really succeeded with her singing.  Most of her fame is due to Cowell promoting her to X Factor judge but as soon as the US producers threatened his earning capacity, she was history.

 

And still the greater good of GB turn up for these auditions believing they will be the chosen one and still GB households fill Cowell's coffers by voting for them.  Unless people understand instant fame can also lead to instant obscurity, they too will end up at a Starbucks near you 

 

 

Mebbe it's because I'm an old grouchy git, but I believe most bands/singers who have achieved longevity have done so because they wrote their own stuff and toured and promoted themselves in dingy bars and clubs whilst building up a loyal following.

I've not been watching the show but it's getting slagged off as rubbish this year,cue Cowall and  his outrage "Fix" malarky, back on the tabloid front pages again..twat.
