Who’s on Britain’s Got Talent Wednesday night

Brian Chan

Brian is a student at Glasgow school of art. He received mixed comments from the judges at his first audition with Simon pushing his buzzer. However with the support of Amanda, David and Alesha describing his act as ‘cutting edge’ they gave him a chance and he got through with three yeses.

Cartel
Cartel have been dancing together for 18 months. During their first audition they caused debate between the judges when Simon suggested they should continue in the competition without one of the members, Jamie. However David, Alesha and Amanda defending the group as a whole and gave them 3 yeses.

Crazy Rouge
Crazy Rouge have been performing in the French burlesque show for two years. They impressed the judges with their risqueĖ yet artistic performance to Feeling Good by Escala. The judges enjoyed the classic nature of the routine and Simon described it as “very Vegas” whilst Alesha said it was “gorgeous to watch”.

Ellis Chick
Ellis Chick is currently studying at a performing arts school in Bristol. Despite being the tender age of 12 Ellis has been described as a ‘mini Michael Buble’. After wowing the judges with his rendition of “You Make Me Feel so Young”, he received four yeses. David compared Ellis to a ‘little version of him’ and Alesha said she felt ‘relaxed watching someone so young perform’.

Kitty & Rosie
Mother and daughter act, Kitty and Rosie, have always sung with each other around the house but this is the first time together in public. The duo impressed the judges with their strong vocals and connection on stage. Amanda told them she “was not expecting voices like that’whilst Alesha thought they were “adorable”.

Lucy Kay

Lucy is a student, living in Glasgow. She has a very close relationship with her mum and they’ve grown closer since Lucy had to leave her school because of bullying. Lucy finds solace in operatic singing and she moved the judges with her extraordinary vocal performance. Simon acknowledged Lucy’s troubled past saying “some of the best singers, sing through pain” and Alesha recognised Lucy has “a gift”.

REAformed
REAformed have been together for six months and want to bring back urban music into the mainstream. At their audition Alesha immediately got behind them seeing the comparisons between them and Misteeq. After performing their rendition of ‘I Got the Music in Me’ – KiKi Dee, she took them straight through to the semi-finals with her golden buzzer and saying ‘I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Misteeq’.

Sam Jones
Sam Jones is currently working full time as a magician, ventriloquist and entertainer. His ‘Baby Leo’ performance entertained the judges and they enjoyed the family friendly quality of the act. David congratulated Sam on his “brilliant flow” and “great character interaction” along with Amanda who said she “fell for it entirely”.

Yanis Marshall, Arnaud And Medhi

The group met at Yanis’ dance classes in Paris and have become great friends ever since. Their main artistic influences include Madonna, Prince and BeyonceĖ. They impressed the judges with their slick dance routine to a medley of Spice Girls classics and they performed with a great confidence that got the whole audience up on their feet. Simon said ‘on paper, this sounds hideous, yet it kind of worked’ and Amanda said ‘you utterly sold it to us!’

As always, whoever gets the most public votes will go straight through to the final – with the judges choosing another finalist from the next two most popular acts.

Oh well, nanight everyone.

You'd better ring up and complain then

they can audition for what they want ....................I expect a lot of the singers audition for both - there's no rule against it. Talent will out.

But the final will be lacking in variety and will have too many boring singers.
