Hi Kathy nice to see you again. I am sorry you are feeling down today, but hope all the nice comments about brisket have given you some comfort x
Have you been reading some of his threads and posts?  I realise it may be hard for you just now, but when you are ready do have a good read, it may make you feel a bit closer to him.
Take care

Hi Kathy

Sorry you are feeling particularly down today    Some days you will be able to smile when you think about Brisket, other days it will upset you more

You seem to have been a lovely friend and I am sure he considered himself very lucky to have you in his life

Please call in here anytime you feel down, there are a lot of members here who miss him and, as they say, its good to talk

Hope you wake up feeling better tomorrow xx

Awwww Kathy I am sorry you are feeling down.... it must be very hard for you.... and it is still early days  But you are always welcome on here. Brisket was a very special person (as you know even better thn we do), and has touched so many of our lives. I have to admit that I think of brisket every night as I listen to the Archers.... and imagine the conversation we would have about the storylines... usually *constructive criticism* of course Anyway,  I hope you feel a little better now, and please come visit us often

I know what you mean.

The other day, my daughter sat on the kitchen worktop and jiggled her leg.

Immediately, brisket came to mind!

I don't see anyone day to day who knew him, so coming onto this forum today gives me such a warm feeling. They way you talk about him shows what a big part of his life you all were. I found it strange at his funeral that in the eulogy the vicar said what a private person he was, and how little people knew about him.

He was private in some ways, but I didn't think he was difficult to get to know, and obviously all of you felt that too. The way you describe him is how he really was - the picture you paint has far more in common with the man that he was than the way he was talked about at his funeral and by his family.

His closest friends were separated from him by distance, so you were his day to day friends. Just as you describe the impact he had on your life, I think the impact you all made on his was perhaps even more.

The lovely things you've written have helped me, but it's not easy, is it.

xx

Kathy, so sorry to hear you were feeling so low!

Just had to say, what a lovely post.

I rarely come in here  I think of brisket when I log onto the forum...I remember Hoochie's idea to get Mario to do the hiya brisket poster when me and Hoochie were on the ghost hunt with the BB housemates.... I still have the pictures on my phone and looked at them today, I don't think anyone will ever fill briskets place on the forum  I miss the gentleman and he was

I don't really know what to say...

I haven't posted here for many, many months and today I popped by to see how everyone was doing - I noticed briskets red rose as the wallpaper... I wondered why? I then had a strange feeling why... I saw at the top a post by Lori... and the dreadfully sad news hit me

I didn't post much but if anyone asked me to name a forum member in Gaga, brisket would be one name I would have immediately said and his avatar is one I will always remember.

I'm sat here in tears. Tears for a dignified, kind, intelligent, funny, caring and inspirational man who I only knew as a forum member but it still feels like I knew him...

As many of you know I have had some dreadful losses and the feeling of sadness when anyone dies is immense. I'm way too emotional for my own good.

Lori and the team - How very kind and touching it was that you sent the red roses for briskets funeral (which happened to be on my birthday ) - So very thoughtful and kind!

Kathy - I'm so sorry for your loss - my condolences to you and the family - Sorry it's at such a late date to send my condolences.

Xochi - Hun I'm so very sorry to hear about the sad loss of your mum - My condolences to you and your family too I hope you are doing OK?

I'm going to spend a while reading the rest of the thread. So very sad right now...

For various reasons I've not been here for a few months. When I opened this thread I was and still am totally shocked and upset by the news of brisket's passing. He was such a wonderful human being and a delight to communicate with. I'm too shocked and upset right now to add any more of what I observed about him in a very positive way. Much Love to his family, friends and all who grieve his loss, my thoughts are with you xxxxxxxxxxxx

Yellow Rose

I've been thinking of Brisket a lot lately.

We've just got Freeview (finally!) and I've discovered the selling stuff channels particularly the jewellery ones.

They have a really irritating habit when selling rings. They put a ring on their finger that is way too big and then sit using their thumb to fiddle with it - obviously to show the sparkle.

Drives me mad and as I watch it I just know that Brisket would be similarly irritated

Miss you Brisket
