Our flowers were beautiful, the service was small and understated. The vicar spoke about brisket's talent as a pianist, and how he didn't really like to talk about himself. His "chat room" participation was mentioned as being a big part of his life. "Amazing Grace" was sung. Sounds lovely, doesn't it?

Thank-you Lori... for everything you've done. xx

'Echoes what Bunns says' they look after us Bunns don't they?

Yes, it sounds really lovely and very fitting too.

Thank you for the feedback, Lori

It does indeed Lori, a very fitting, fond farewell. NGB Brisket

I'm back home after brisket's funeral. You were all well represented by the beautiful red roses. Thank you all so much for them. It was also lovely to see you represented in person. Brisket would have been really touched, I'm sure, as I was.

For me the funeral was harrowing, and I feel tired now.

I've said it before, but I can't say it too often - thank you all for your amazing kindness and warmth. You've been so kind, and I can understand why your community was such a big part of brisket's life.

Kathy, many thanks for sharing the details of Brisket's funeral with us. It helps me to feel that I got to say goodbye to him.

As Yogi has said.... thanks to Lori and co, and to Kathy for taking the time and trouble at this time.

My dear on-line friend, I read of your departure within days of losing my Mum. On Friday we had a simple and dignified service in my parent's village church and a cremation after.

My Dad had been sent a condolence card by my Mum's carer. Marg had posted it in your loved Gaga forum in this thread dedicated to you. "All is well" It was read at the cremation part of proceedings and when I heard the words as I held my Dad's hand and smoothed his back, I also had you and Marg in my mind to help me do it.

For those of you all who have lost a life partner or a partner of any sort at whatever point in your lives and for whatever ultimate reason, all I can say is how awesome it must be to have it in your lives and as I now understand how incomprehensible is for me to even dare to share those feelings of separation.

Sorry brisket. I know you'd understand what I'm trying to say.

Oh. And Lori and Rosemary and all in Seattle. Thank you. Roses in June for brisket and my Mum too. (There were a simple 5 roses on her coffin to represent my Dad and us siblings. It was just perfect.)

Your mums funeral sounded like it was a lovely farewell. I hope the passing of time eases your pain. I lost my dad very suddenly just over a year ago and at the time never thought I would get over it. I don't think you ever do get over it but you learn to cope and one thing I did learn is to talk is good. Whether it's here, in PM, with loved ones or a complete stranger. Good memories can get you through the roughest of times so don't be afraid to take time to sit down and remember them.
