good point, but i think all milk is supposed to be sterilised these days for human consumption? Correct me if im wrong.
I think it was for health reasons that it's now banned,or suspended 'till proven safe.HIV,Hepatitis etc.
A great big NO for me, this one.
No I don't think so! Those of us lucky enough to reside in rural areas drink farm bottled milk, the herds are regularly tested. Then there is homogenised, pasteurised, UHT, and of course sterilised. Sterilised milk is terrible.

They're not proper milk!
Doesn't appeal in the slightest, not to mention the potential economical aspect. UK farmers are struggling enough with global competition for a living, if this idea took off who knows where it would end up? Today ice cream, tomorrow cheese...by Sunday it's gone Bitty nuclear. No ta.

That Human Planet programme showed an Amazonian tribe, who kept pet monkeys and fed them on their breast milk.
My son was horrified, until I said, "But it's normal for you to drink cow's milk?"

No thank you, breast milk should be kept for babies, IMO.
And I know that it could be said that cow's milk should be kept for calves, but I don't care!

Marg is quickly trying to find out if there's a market for baboon milk smoothies! Kerching!
The other thing is that they are selling it at Β£14 a scoop, and with the added touches of either Calpol or Bonjela, and a rusk .

I understood it wasn't like that anymore. I suppose if they use the same methods as they do with sheep, it might be acceptable, which I thought Rose Veal was. But what do I know. Add Reply
