Day 20: BBTV News leads to trouble in America
36 mins ago
An item read out by anchor Julie Goodyear during a BBTV news bulletin has led to unrest between American housemates, a source reported earlier. Wearing a sleek brunette wig, Julie read out a quote from Prince Lorenzo: "I like The Situation but I feel like he's thrown me under a bus." Along with three other news items concerning the backstabbing behaviour of the remaining housemates, this revelation was broadcast on a screen in the main House. Housemates watched while consuming a man-made TV dinner off their knees. According to bystanders, their chewing became mechanical as awkward home truths entered their mists. Coleen, 47, said: "Everyone's talked about everyone in the House." Ms Nolan is a noted television personality with years of experience of playing the diplomat. Experts have suggested that this remark was designed to exert damage control over potentially explosive remarks. Yet, a situation was brewing that was out of her hands... We're bored of writing in a news style now... Basically, The Sitch and Prince-y had a big ol' debrief about The Prince's remark which dates back to something The Situation said to departed Danica. It was not a remark that particularly helped The Prince's chances with the glamour girl, in fact, it was so unhelpful that the royal compared it to being thrown under a bus. "Danica's getting in trouble and she's not even here," remarked Coleen wryly, as the Americans resolved their differences via the fine art of blackening the absent one's name. While all this went down, new anchor Julie Goodyear calmly ate her tea, no doubt relishing the cat her Big-Brother-enabled bulletin had thrown among the pigeons just as much as her spag bol.
Day 20: 'It's quite peaceful here' 35 mins ago Big Brother has tried terribly hard to ruffle feathers tonight via the medium of the BBTV task. For the BBTV News, Julie became the mouthpiece for lots of unflattering news items revolving round verbatim quotes of housemate-on-housemate backstabbing.
The Corrie bar-wench had already become persona non grata in the House as five nominations testifies. Making her the bearer of bad news, some of which featured herself in the role of ear-burner (Listen up Harvey. Bet Lynch is not a 'disgrace') was the equivalent of getting a giant whisk and applying it to the ambience.
Coleen noticed an "assassin's smile" dancing on Julie's lips during the task and Big Brother's messenger had become eligible for shooting.
Yet Julie was having none of it.
In the bedroom with a concerned Julian she assured care-y Clary, "I'm dealing with it in my own way. I won't be a squawking wreck."
"You're made of sterner stuff," said the comedian doubtfully, troubled by the notion that his pal is becoming isolated. "It's very calm out there," he said hoping to coax her outside with the others.
Julie went a step further by refusing to acknowledge any form of situation "I've not got a problem. It's quite peaceful here," she said.
And lo and behold she went on to put her money where her mouth was, strolling outside to socialise with her housemates.
It's the last night before another two leave the Big Brother House yet trouble wasn't coming from Julie and it wasn't coming from Lorenzo or Martin either. After the former's kerfuffle with The Situation, he mellowed out superbly while Martin is so relaxed he's barely spoken for hours. Some people are so laid back they're basically horizontal.
So bad luck, Big Bro, you're going to have get even more dastardly if you want to rile up these cats. Of course, there's another day of this task to come. Perhaps we have spoken too soon....
