I had a very enjoyable "full Irish" (yes, thank you Blizzie) when I was in Dublin last week.
That had some lush white pudding and black pudding in it.

Just off St Stephen's Green, in a hotel which was fine as soon as we'd switched rooms from the front (with all the traffic noise) to one at the back.
I was only there for 3 nights, but had a great time. Great place, first time I've been in over 10 years 

You weren't there at the weekend were you?  I might have seen you out on the town?

I had salted peanuts yesterday (yes I like to test the waters properly) and I was alright....obviously.

Nah, I was only there Monday night to Thursday afternoon (missed most of the Arthur's Day stuff).
I was in: Toner's bar, the Palace bar, the Indonesian place in Temple Bar, the Porterhouse, etc, etc..

Hi Jackson,i have relatives in West Ireland,Skibereen,CO Cork,when we stay there we have Full Irish,but it has to be with Irish Soda Bread,i have been addicted to the stuff since childhood,and very often make my own because you can make it and be eating it in 45mins.I worked for years in a 5 star hotel,and on a regular basis younger chefs would say we should have beans and hash browns on the english breakfast menu,the head chef and the manager both said no,because it would no longer be a traditional English breakfast. the hotel has now been sold to a large chain,and yes they do the beans and hash browns for breakfast,but i still agree with my old head chef and the manager.And i love both black and white pudding!!

I don't get all this 'tinned tomato' nonsense.   If you have tomato at breakfast, it's real tomato halved and grilled.   Tinned tomatoes are only for cooking with - not eating 'straight'.

Tinned tomatoes leave good moppage for that last wipe round with a carefully saved fried slice.

The chap who cooked my full Irish for me asked if I knew the difference between it and a full English. Apparently it's beans. Sometimes on an English, but NEVER on an Irish.

Good for him,i have never had beans on a full Irish or been offered them

I think its also the black and white puddings.Think they're optional in English.The Scottish breakfast is very like the Irish one...I was expecting sommat fishy tho

I'd heard the 'no beans on Irish' thing... now I'm also confused by the 'Ulster Fry' - is that different again?   I heard one of them (think it's Ulster) needs to have a minimum amount of types of bread to be included?

uuuuuhhhhh, I will make that especially, I don't even pretend to cook summat  and  use the leftovers.   Finest tea ever.  

Ideal breakfaast for me is bacon, PROPER sausage, runny egg, mushies and tinned  tomatoes.  Although I do like just tomatoes on toast, so the toast goes all soggy  and  practically dissolves.
