All week so far I have been riveted by my favourite Soap, and they have given me as a fan, "Manna" from Heaven! The acting has been first class, and I've ridden on the rollercoaster of emotions with the residents of Corrie...As far as I am concerned they peed all over EE tonight with the Live episode, and once again I ask myself,  why do EE win all the awards? When the acting IMO, in Corrie is head and shoulders above the rabble in EE.
Coronation Street is simply the best!

I do think EE deserves some credit, though.. I genuinely LOL'ed during this evening's episode when Dot said that she'd got a bag of marshmallows in, and that she and Jim were going to spend the evening watching Corrie!"

I thought it was fantastic last night - so good I've just watched it again with my OH who was out last night (and he doesn't watch Corrie reguarly but thought that was excellent)
I thought it flowed so well that I actually forgot it was which must be the ultimate compliment to everyone who organised it - directors, cameramen and all the background staff.
Well done!!
Oh and can you bring back Peter please?

I'll second that Moomin.   Also agree with all the other positive comments - they've played an absolute blinder this week and last night was fantastic.     I also think it's fantastic that everyone involved managed to keep schtum about who would be going - it's not often that happens on telly, and it really kept you hooked - thinking 'well - that's them gone then'.. only for them to stumble from the wreckage later.   We still know don't for sure who number 4 is going to be!

Soozy.... here's a straw..... from the BBC website...

At its climax, two characters appeared to die from their injuries.

The show is the world's longest-running TV soap, with its 7,500 episodes featuring 39 births, 114 deaths and 88 weddings.

There have been months of speculation about the identities of those who would be killed off in the catastrophe.

On Wednesday, Ashley Peacock - a Street regular for 14 years, played by Steven Arnold - was seen being crushed to death after the Joinery bar collapsed.

On Thursday, viewers saw Peter Barlow and Molly Dobbs seem to succumb to their injuries.

We can but hope.....

It's been brilliant all week but Eastenders is still my fav.  Both soaps though go through periods of being unmissable and vice versa.....I couldn't really care what's going on in EE this week as I'm too wrapped up in Corrie but by next week I'll be back with EE.

I completly forgot that corrie was live last night and didn't notice a thing throughout (probably because I wasn't looking for errors) but it does seem they outshone EE's live one.
Massive applause to Jane Danson though who plays Leanne, never really that bothered with her character but she just proved how great an actress she was last night and outshone most of the cast.
