TBH, they should have just scrapped the eviction - that's what they've normally done in the past. I may be wrong here, but I think the only time they've continued with an eviction after a nominee left was after Dawn was ejected, but that was a three-way.

It's a false hope of course: C5/Endemol are so greedy this series there's absolutely no way they'd consider going without a week's voting revenue...
