Different sort of training. It's been interesting over the last couple of weeks to see the difference between Jay and Jemma regarding attitude towards training, exercising, diet, etc.

Well, as Tom pointed out, Jay has no ability to focus and concentrate, which is why he does so badly on tasks.
As for stamina: I doubt Jay does that sort of training. I expect he mainly just does weight training.
This is very common among young men who are "down the gym" a lot. I remember seeing a documentary about Army recruitment, and they despair sometimes about the blokes who apply.
As a rule of thumb, they find that the candidates who spend lots of time "down the gym" do nothing but weights and have no stamina whatsoever...

Leaving aside any attempt to "suck-up" to Alex, Jemma was in a no-win situation. If she won, so what? She should win, and it would look bad her running another HM into the ground.
However there's always the possibility that she might lose (she could pull a muscle or whatever), and that would be hugely embarassing...
