sorry if this has been answered already

I don't think it mattered either way. BB always intended to manipulate the nominations to protect Jay and Anton: the only reason they toned it down was because of audience complaints.

The only real task which could be won or lost was the food budget task, which Jay and Anton won.

Really? Wow! They should know by now that any manipulation of nominations is not taken kindly to by viewers.

It's often a shock to viewers just how arrogant TV producers are. I remember when Eastenders killed off Danielle: viewers were up in arms, but the producers just patted themselves on the back over how clever they'd been.

BB producers have always been arrogant: they think they're geniuses of Light Entertainment, and the public will happily accept everything they do...

Cynical hat *OFF*

Creatives like to shock, and I guess innovation can be refreshing....but sometimes 'tried and tested' fundamental principles work better than manipulation and shock tactics. They're going to alienate more and more viewers who feel out of control about who we kick out and who stays. Letting Anton and Jay have power over their fellow housemates in this way is completely unfair and unbalanced.

I've posted this a number of times, but back in BB5 BB's own advisor told them not to send the Bedsit HMs back into the house, because the knowledge they'd gained would unbalance things and cause serious trouble.

BB ignored him, and he resigned in protest. But of course he was proven correct by "Fight Night"...

This is basically because creatives are rewarded by other creatives. As a result things that look good are often more successful in their closed little world than things that actually work.

A good example was that Gorilla ad for Cadburys. All very clever, and won lots of awards. However during that campaign Cadburys sales actually went down - so it actually failed as an advert!
