It gets rid of the hard skin on your heels esp after a summer of sandle wearing.. I thought it wouldn't work but it did. Much better and easier than a pommice stone.
I got a knock-off one for ÂĢ3.00 - is bluddy ace but if you turn it over to do the other side of your foot the shavings fall out of the grater.....I didnt realise that til I'd shaved 3 inches of dead skin of my feet. There was a parmesan type mountain on the carpet!
I keep seeing people talking about it aswell. Very nearly bought one the other day, wish I did now. I will get one at weekend and my feet will be so soft I will glide like Cinderella!
I've always used a pumice stone, ever since my teens 50 years ago. I have never had a build up of hard skin on my feet. It works if you use it about 3 or 4 times a week in the shower or bath. It keeps the skin on the feet smooth and soft.

Pumice stones are brilliant! Absolutely no hard skin when using them regularly. It just never gets a chance to build up. Thats all we had in those days and they actually work much better than anything else.
Have you actually tried a ped-egg BB? Its ace that a pumice stone works for you....but I'm telling you DO believe th hype when it comes to a ped-egg - they are bluddy ace.quote:Originally posted by *BB*:quote:Originally posted by ANNOCA:

Is the purpose of the ped egg to remove hard skin? Because I use a pumice stone regularly I never have any hard skin.
A ped egg is like a pumice stone but I don't think quite as harsh and it collects the hard skin. They advertise it as being tough enough to take the hard skin away and soft enough not to burst a balloon.
I really wanted to try one and after hearing the recommendations on here, I'm gonna get one
Also I find a pumice stone quite harsh on my feet even after a bath

It does the same job as a pumice stone but with no effort...either use it to remove hard skin or stop it occuring in the first place - just like a pumice.
Its not that big a deal like...crack on with your pumice and all that - but as an ex-pumicer and Ped Eggs newest fan I feel the need to spread the word. THERE IS A NEW FOOT KING IN TOWN AND HIS NAME IS PED EGG!!!

There's no effort involved in using a pumice stone. Providing you use it regularly there's never any build-up of dry hard skin to remove - ever.
To Pink Babe, never use a pumice stone either dry or just with water on its own. You need to soap your feet and the stone and just use the stone with a gentle massaging motion.
Ah see, now that sounds like a bit of effort....you dont need to do any of that soap and water faffing with a ped-egg!quote:Originally posted by *BB*:quote:Originally posted by MoFo:

Now this is what I would really be interested in and it looks like you have found it for me. A way of bathing without having to faff about with soap and water! Human dry cleaning system, I'm all for this.
How do I reach?

You need a carer to help you.

If you let the filth harden, can it do you all over?
I can reach my armpits.

But you do your feet in the bath or shower with a pumice stone.

Ah thank you, I have been using one for years and no one told me.
Hi all feet fans, sorry to but in, but a word of caution about ped eggs. I have had one for about a year. I have now got serious painful heels and sides of my feet. I have probably been too rough with mine. They are great, they do remove the hard skin very easily, but just go steady. I thought I was being careful, and I'm now going through bucket loads of balm.
