In answer to your question yes the guard is one and the same. Dr RE is a medical doctor and a consulting colleague. I have eyes for Captain Picard but..... but.... but... I suddenly found myself feeling very attracted to Dr Eulan I can't explain why as up until the last afternoon that he was alive I had never felt any physical attraction to him before and nor do I find him attractive now. However, for some reason when he asked me to meet him in his quarters, I found myself compelled to go I remember leaving the next morning - nothing else

Yes, I gave it to him. I wanted to see what effect it had on him. It seems to have worked even better than when I saw it being used in Newcastle on Earth. There they just stagger around, vomitting and taking off what few clothes they have on. The guard appears to have passed out. Oooops. Maybe I got the mix all wrong.
