Thanks Hy. Just gonna go switch the telly on.

It would be so nice for the bereaved families if they could find them all but I realise that would be an impossibility.

Do hope they can locate the black box now in order to ascertain exactly what happened.

Yes .... hopefully they'll find it ... but I don't think they hold out much hope of it ... Frowner

Sorry, this is going to sound terrible but I can't stop thinking of Lost now. Frowner

That's what kept me hopeful, I really really really had convinced myself they were alive and would be found in some deserted place. Such a shame for some of their families whom might not even get a body to bury. Frowner

Apparently not all. Frowner

But at least the relatives of the ones not found know they're definitely dead rather than being in some sort of limbo where they hope (completely unrealistically) that they're alive

You'd convinced yourself they'd be found on an island??

yes, I wanted it to end better than this, was I wrong to wish for a better outcome???

I think the outcome you'd convinced yourself of was a tad unrealistic. Yes it would have been nice for some good to come out of it, and if by some chance it had been taken hostage it would have flashed up on radar at some point.

Reality is a plane dropping out of the sky from 35,000 feet at 200 miles an hour is never going to make a safe landing on a remote island Confused

Hello KW - wavey

I just like to think that it all happened so quickly that there was little time within which to feel too much terror.

I saw on the news earlier this week that two young men had to cancel their tickets on the Air France flight because it was discovered that the passport of one had expired.
