In my opinion the problem here is that 'do-good' Labour MPs start calling for ridiculous changes to the British way of life so that they can look good to the minority public - and actually we (the minority public) don't want it! The Muslims don't want these changes; Blacks don't want these changes but these MPs purport to speak on our behalf and make preposterous proposals which just upsets many British people.
I've not heard/spoken to one Muslim person who wants Sharia law integrated into English law. I've not heard one/spoken to one Black person that is in favour of positive discrimination in regards to employment. These MPs want to make themselves look good so choose spout this tripe which is not representative of the views of the people they claim to be trying to help; which then, quite understandably, results in many British people feeling bitter and and stripped of their rights as Brits.
Many people of 'colour' (for simplicity's sake) that I have spoken to agree that the government has been instrumental in facilitating a society that is now overly PC - where it's to the detriment of most. What's needed here is a consistent balance.
Anyway... those Brits who feel disempowered by this nonsense, and I suspect that the number is ever-increasing, are easy targets for parties such as the BNP and with a little clever propaganda and manipulation - gotcha!
I've long believed that governments secretly like racism no matter how loudly they bleat about it.
While we are all watching/complaining/feeling resentful about what another group may or may not have the politicians are slipping under the radar and bleeding the lot of us dry.
How does the song go?
'Long as you keep them way off balance, how can they tell you've got no talent'
