With a thread title like that I was expecting you to say they had split.
To be honest I have not looked at the charts since the 90's. I would be hard pressed to name a number one in the last 10 years.
Since the demise of the physical CD single or 7" vinyl single I have avoided purchasing a digital download, I just like something to feel. Besides, most of the bands and artists I like don't really release singles these days (except for New Order) but I have not bought these either.
I'm mobile at the moment and will give it a listen when I get home. But hand on heart Pirate, do you think Blondie still has the pulling power to compete with all the Rap/R&B that seems to dominate mainstream music these days?
quite like that Pirate...first few seconds I wanted to break out into Heart of Glass

yeah yeah! when maria came out, i went to the concert (i was in the bar drinking with clem burke earlier) and apart from us oldie dedicated fans it was full of studenty types..fair enough, music style has changed over the last couple of decades, but Blondie found a new fan base with maria, dont forget, the original fan base came from the 70's, so who's to say, history wont repeat itself?
jeez
ive turned into a Blondie rep
