July 2 is the 183rd day of the year (184th in leap years) in the Gregorian calendar. There are 182 days remaining until the end of the year.

It is the midpoint of a common year. This is because there are 182 days before and 182 days after (median of the year) in common years, and 183 before and 182 after in leap years. The exact time in the middle of the year is at noon, or 12:00. In the UK and other countries that use "Summer Time" the actual exact time of the mid point in a common year is at (1.00 pm) 13:00 this is when 182 days and 12 hours have elapsed and there are 182 days and 12 hours remaining. This is due to Summer Time having advanced the time by one hour. It falls on the same day of the week as New Year's Day in common years

Silly and probably obvious question CC, but do you get people giving you a 'combinbed' gift for your birthday and Christmas?  This happens to several folk I know, and it's so so so rude and thoughtless IMO.  I mean, what would they think if their birthday or their kids' birthdays were in March and May, and you said 'here's their Christmas pressies, AND birthday gift combined...' They would think you were mad... Yet people do it if your birthday is near Christmas.  One of my cousin's kids is Jan 3rd and almost EVERYONE forgets him.  Poor lad... it's cuz it's 'still Christmas...'  (sort of...)

yeah, they always have and always will...not very nice

awww poor you clumsycat my little boys birthday is the 19th december

i will make sure it wont happen to him

its his 1st birthday this year

my granddaughter will be one two days before your son, and like you we are making sure that birthday and christmas are two separate events

My grand son was born on Christmas day .......................for the first two birthdays we celebrated on the 18th December .........last year we did 25th November - much better. His brother (my other grand son) has a birthday January 4th ......................BAD PLANNING IMO.

I'm February  it was always in half term so at school I missed out on the bumps

My niece's birthday is 27 December but I've always made a point of buying her two separate presents with the exception of last year because at her suggestion, she wanted this years Sonisphere tickets for her and her fiancΓ© and they cost over Β£300 for the two - more than I would normally spend for both presents but she's my only niece so whadda ya gonna do

My best friend's birthday is 6th January and again I always buy 2 pressies and I make a point of saving a few quid to take her out to a Chinese buffet meal as no one ever seems to have the money to go anywhere    even though it's on the same day every year

I generally put money away from about August onwards for them

January and feb are two bad months for my family, we don't have any summer birthdays (with the exception of my grandson's first this year)  it must be easier to have summer birthday parties - outside and lots of water!  mine (feb) was always restricted to inside although like pengy mine was usually half term so parties lasted longer
