I have a 16 yr old and we live on a council estate and don't have a HUGE TV and no money for holidays etc and she would never ever think of doing something like looting too get some thing she wanted, she has too wait till i have saved too get it for her and she has gone out and got herself a part time job too earn herself abit of pin money too get her through college, IMO it's how you are brought up

I have ÂĢ2 in my purse and i would never ever think of taking something that wasn't mine, my daughter has grown up living in a home with no money but has grown into a great girl with good plans ahead of her IMO you don't need a BIG TV and money too be someone, so why these kids think the world owe's them something is beyond me

My boys were raised on our notorious sink estate, I was on benefits for the first years of their lives. Both went to Uni, both work and have never claimed a penny nor been in trouble with the old Bill.
Because of that we never got any help but I saw plenty of bad parents who did. We seem to almost have a culture now of giving everything to the worst families.
I feel sorry for kids being raised feral like some of them are but chucking money/houses/holidays etc at bad parents does not make them better parents.
Trust me, after 30 years on this estate I've seen it all.

Thanks Veggie i bring her up the way i was brought up, i ended up on benefits after her dad beat the life out of me but my parents have worked all their lives and i was brought up too know right from wrong
