Actress Vicky Binns is to leave Coronation Street later this year as the Molly, Kevin, Tyrone love triangle takes another dramatic turn.

However, we're keeping details of the next twist in this storyline strictly under wraps!

Vicky, who plays Molly, said: “It’s been a joy to be involved in such a fantastic storyline and it is only right that it has the explosive ending viewers are waiting for. I am very excited about playing out the rest of this plot and indeed about what the future holds. I've had an amazing time in the show and feel it's right to leave on such a high.”

Ever since she started her affair with Kevin, Molly has been torn between her lover and her husband.

Kevin and Molly’s plans to leave their spouses were scuppered on Christmas Day when Sally revealed to a stunned Kevin that she was suffering from breast cancer.

Molly still left Tyrone, but just weeks later discovered she was pregnant and, unsure of whether Kevin or Tyrone was the father and facing the future as single mum, she went back to an unsuspecting Tyrone.

Now with the baby due in the early Autumn, more shocks are planned!

Our producer, Phil Collinson, said: “This storyline has been central to the drama of the show for a year now and I hope that the many different twists and turns we have planned will keep the fans on the edge of their seats for months to come.

“Vicky is a superb actress who has helped to make the Molly, Kevin, Tyrone love triangle one of the most talked about soap storylines of the year. We wish her every success for the future.”

Woo Hoo good riddance!... now if only they could get rid of Sean and Michelle>>>

Yes as in slagging it off, even the actor who plays Kevin threatened to quit if they still had Kevin cheating on Sally when she had Cancer.. Molvin was vile.

CORRIE pals David Platt and Graeme Proctor have been given a jokey gay storyline.

Teen tearaway David gets cosy with Graeme when he gives him a massage.

Hairdresser Natasha Blakeman interrupts the lads when she walks in on them and is convinced that they are enjoying a gay romance.

Natasha (Rachel Leskovac, 33) tells them: “You don’t have to explain anything to me boys.

“I’m very broadminded about these things. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it, that’s my philosophy.”

But David (Jack P Shepherd, 22) grabs his jacket and runs out of the house.

The massage comes about after David hurts his shoulder. Graeme (Craig Gazey, 27) tells him he has heeling hands and offers to rub it better.

He tells David to relax and he does, groaning: “Oh yeah. That’s really nice. Rub a bit lower…rub a bit lower.”

But the incident leaves Graeme desperate to prove he is straight and within hours he ends up in bed with Tina McIntyre.

Graeme will think he’s died and gone to heaven when Tina (Michelle Keegan, 22) comes on to him in her flat and leads him to her bed for a night of X-rated passion.

Tina asks him: “Did you like it?”

Goofy Graeme stands dumbfounded, just nodding his head, and Tina laughs: “I’ll take that as a yes then.”

Lmao.

I didn't know till the other day that the actress who plays Sally discovered she had breast cancer while doing research for her storyline with the condition. I remember the scenes she played that were very emotional that must have been so difficult for her to do, amazing strength. I wish her a full recovery to good health.
Yellow Rose
I read about Sally at the weekend - very sad Explained why she suddenlt disappeared to her "sister's". Awful for her - said it was almost as bed as breaking the new to her screen familt as her RL family

I love Graeme, he's one of my favourites at the moment.
I did at first, though I feel they're trying to make him too 'daft' now, too unbelievable, like they tried to make Chesney too 'cute' and I fear they will make gorgeous little SImon too 'cheeky'...if that makes sense....

I noticed they've finally changed that mute Amy Barlow

I wish they'd bin Michelle, and Nick Tydley/ Platt....he can't act either....

It does makes sense, DiD, I've been thinking the same recently - especially about little Simon.

I'd be over the moon if they got rid of Michelle, and Nick Tilsley is rubbish so he can go, too.

...woooo, I'm glad I make sense to someone, lol, i do hope they don't over-do it with SImon, they have already started it though, giving him lines that a child would never come out with, especially making him such a 'clever clogs' when he made his own way home from Blackpool.....too unbelievable...

...I can't stand that Nick, I didn't like him when he played COnrad in Footballers Wives, too smarmy for my liking....

what that awful face she pulls?!!?
She was in a John Godber play I went to see a couple of years ago. She shouted every line and pulled the same daft over-exaggerated expresions, she almost ruined the whole thing. I think the whole Molvin storyline has been one of the most hated by viewers ever and I'm glad she's going.

I agree with DiD about the way the writers over-emphasise characteristics too, although I do still love Graeme.

And Blanche was a Corrie legend, one of the best characters ever. RIP Blanche.
Queen of the High Teas
Corrie def not the same without Blanche although June Whitfield's character is looking interesting
What do you all think about Blanche having had a "boyfriend" at the end and referring to Dierdre as "dee dee" I'm not sure I liked that.....

Coronation Street binman Trevor Dean will be written out of the soap later this year, Digital Spy can confirm.

New producer Phil Collinson took the decision not to renew actor Steve Jackson's contract.

The news comes just hours after the announcement of Vicky Binns's decision to leave her character of Molly Dobbs behind after five years in the role.

An ITV spokesperson this morning told DS: "We can confirm that Steve will be leaving at the end of his current contract."

Trevor joined the Weatherfield soap in January and quickly caught the eye of knicker stitcher Janice Battersby (Vicky Entwhistle).

However, after becoming Janice's lodger, Trevor took a keen interest in Underworld boss Carla Connor (Alison King), leaving a frustrated Janice out in the cold.

Jackson is due to film his final scenes within the next couple of months and will bow out on screen in the autumn.

Others due to depart before the end of the year currently include Jack Duckworth (Bill Tarmey), Claire and Ashley Peacock (Julia Haworth and Steve Arnold) and Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac).

Won't be missed but another one of Carla's love interests bites the dust.
