Hi darlo, I`ve just read that, to be honest if they put it on E4 but gave us LF all day I wouldn`t mind.
Its just a twitter rumour....

I'd love that!
They would be better scraping the irritating Friends episodes for LF . Liked Friends but the endless repeats grrrrrrrrrr.
I like to watch in on channel 4 when i'm in bed. Don't have a box in the bedroom.
Viewing figures could go down even further if they take it off channel 4.
Hardly anything worth watching on channel 4 anyway, early in the morning.

I dont really care what station it is on but its bad news for CH4

I agree Darlo, and the fact we own the dvd's aswell, don't help, I can watch friends any blooming time!
Give us more livefeed I say!
What are they going to replace it with on C4 that gets more than 2.2 million? Because I cant think of a single programme of theirs that gets that kind of viewers.
OMG if the livefeed came back I wouldn't care who runs the show!!
BB producers said that there were not that many people wanting livefeed.. they mentioned a figure but i can't remember... but what they fail to realise for every one person who keeps an eye on LF, 20 hear the news!! multiply that by whatever their figure is and there you have something that works... doh!

Yep. IMO, it's either a hoax, or else someone "flying a kite".
I really can't see this happening in practise. BB's viewing figures may have dropped, but it's still C4's biggest show by quite a bit.
If it was put on E4 instead, it would be pulling-in less than a million.
There's also the knock-on effect: for example, "8 out of 10 Cats" is one of C4's top 5 rated shows, but it wouldn't get anything like the same audience figures if it wasn't wedged between the eviction shows.
PS.. Darlo, thanks for throwing us all the different links.. some are very interesting.,.. I never think to wander to other site lol

You're all welcome .
God, how viewing figures have dwindled in the five years since BB5.Just found this re. that series.
"A peak of over 5 million viewers to see Kitten evicted from the house on Friday night, according to preliminary ratings information.
The 9pm update show averaged 4.1 million viewers and a 20.2% share of the audience, peaking at 4.4 million (21.1%). An hour later the eviction show was seen by 5.0 million (23.8%) and a peak of 5.2 million (25.0%).
Week one figures in full (C4 show):
Fri May 28: 6.7 million (34.7%), peak of 7.2 million (37.6%)
Sat May 29: 3.4 million (17.1%)
Sun May 30: 3.7 million (17.1%)
Mon May 31: 3.3 million (14.6%)
Tue Jun 01: 4.3 million (20.2%)
Wed Jun 02: 4.6 million (22.8%)
Thu Jun 03: 4.7 million (24.7%)
Fri Jun 04, 9pm: 4.1 million (20.2%), peak of 4.4 million (21.1%)
Fri Jun 04, 10pm: 5.0 million (23.8%), peak of 5.2 million (25.0%)
BBLB has averaged 1.7 million and a 10% share across the week, peaking with 2.1 million for Monday's edition. Repeat showings on E4 have avareged 406,000.
Live streaming and extra shows have pushed E4's share of viewing up to an average of 3.27% (including E4+1), ahead of Sky One (2.16%), ITV2 (1.96%), UKTV Gold (1.9%) and BBC Three (0.6%).
E4's most popular 7pm show was Thursday's Diary Room Uncut, which had 326,000. The Tuesday edition managed an similarly impressive 287,000. Live debate show EFourum was less of a hit, however, with an average of 198,000 viewers across the week".

Ditto!
I'm not too bothered which channel it's on but
I reckon Lucozade BB's sponsor this year will
not be happy at all to see it moved to E4.
E4 would be the graveyard for BB ....unless of
course the make it live streaming. But they
won't, will they.

It was Twittered by Gerry someone who we have'nt seen conected to BB for a long time so I don't believe either....
If true I'm not happy as my freeview box has been very unreliable lately. Time to buy a signal booster box I think!
I just read that it is not happening.
Well, I for one would like to THANK channel 4 for the chopping of 24/7 LF,
cause if they hadn't then I probably wouldn't have taken the time to THINK about this farce of a tv show a little deeper,
It IS a pile of shite, this year more so than ever before, (its always been shite though,)
C4 are a tv company and therefore have NO choice but to comply with broadcasting standards legislation, and THAT is why we will only EVER see a sanitised edited distorted scripted version, of the 'reality' of what happens in that house,
It might as well be Eastenders, they are both about as 'real'
live feed was/is NEVER "live" they are not ALLOWED to broadcast it LIVE because in law they ARE responsible as broadcasters for EVERYTHING done or said in the house if they broadcast it,
SO, they can move it to where the sun dont shine for me, cause it will STILL only ever be a load of edited scripted contrived bollocks, and I find hard to comprehend that some people actually PAY money to vote on this crap.

Well Said.
how is this bb news?
a random unknown bloke sending a text message?
bb may be down on viewers but it's still their most watched show with 2m viewers daily
e4 rarely rarely gets 1m+, why the hell would they move it?

Having said all that I will STILL watch it of course, but with a more cynical and ' enlightened ' POV, I will NOT take it seriously, but will enjoy my "sneering" haha
Those look like really good figures for a digital channel. I wonder what they're like now.quote:Originally posted by subatomic partygirl:
