Everything you need to know about Day 39

Day 39 ended with a massive night in the House. Jade was evicted (we were shocked) and the housemates erupted into a blazing row in the wake of her departure. But what was the build-up to all this? Let’s take it from the topâ€Ķ

After they had an awful, blazing row, which caused Danny to smash some pizza boxes – the real casualties in all this – they tried to patch it up. It was all very civilised and diplomatic. Eerily so.

Danny

Which is more than could be said for Brian. He told Nikki how little love he has for Helen. Perhaps he’d change his mind by the end of the day? Don’t bet on it.

In fact, it was a pretty rough day all round for Brian. On the plus side, Jade assured him she doesn’t have a boyfriend. On the other hand, she casually dropped in the fact she plans to remain single post-Big Brother. Which must have been hard for poor Brian, considering they also did this today:

Kissing

Then came the inevitable eviction. Much to the delight of the baying crowd outside, Jade got the boot (though that one man who always seems to turn up and shout someone’s name arbitrarily did scream “GET JACK OUT&rdquo. Tough for Jade, but was greeted by this friendly face on this outside.

emma

During her exit interview, Jade reflected on her nomination, which especially hurt as it partly came courtesy of her hero Nikki Grahame. Still, she had some great moments in the House and we’ll miss that weird voice she did.

As will Brian. In the wake of her eviction he sat around forlornly like a sad ghost of Big Brother’s past, though he could at least take comfort when Jade got to nominate Cristian as payback for branding her a bedhopper. Looks like we could be getting that new single sooner than we thoughtâ€Ķ

Make a record

In a move that’s been dubbed #TAGNOMS (thanks Rylan), Cristian will then get to choose the next nominee, though he must wait for Big Brother’s say-so. Who will he choose? Whoever he picks might be glad of the opportunity to leave, considering how explosive things later became in the House. Brian ranted at Marc and Helen for being “a tag-team” that riles people up. It was pretty brutal stuff.

Phew. That’s surely enough drama for one day – but there’s more! The TimeWarp machine is back in action, meaning the week ahead will hold plenty of surprises.

Day 40: Task - Showbiz or Nobiz

SSSSSHHHOOOOOWWWBBBBIIIIZZZZZ!!

Expect to hear a lot more of that in today’s task.

Simon will have to plumb all of his luvvie depths as he is to be the director of the House for the day.

The housemates will be assigned theatrical roles and will have to perform them with the helpful direction of Simon.

Then Simon will judge which pairs are the most showbiz and they will win a theatrical luncheon.

Hopefully they won’t give him a beret and megaphone.

Everything you need to know about Day 40

Grave times in the House. This morning it was time for Sam to make her nomination (it’s tag-noms, see). She waltzed right up to Harry and gave it to her straight. Well, actually, she said: “I love everyone here. I’m sorry.” Aw, bless. She definitely wasn’t #lovinglife today.

After all the drama that’s unfolded in the House recently, Big Brother lightened the mood with a Task that made Simon very happy. It was called Showbiz – Or Nobiz? The housemates had to act out certain characters under Simon’s tutelage – for example, Helen and Danny were to be “Star-cross’d Lovers,” which gave Simon a fine opportunity to bellow “NO TONGUES! NO TONGUES!”

SHOWBIZ task

Luckily, there were no tongues, though Danny did smack Helen’s bum and gave her a massage. Meanwhile Nick and Jack were instructed to be “Fools”, which apparently involves doing weird starjumps and sticking out your tongue. There was a delicious lunch at stake, so Big Brother had absolute power over them.

But back to more pressing matters. Helen gave Danny a dose of the truth:  â€œThe only person who gets irate, Danny, is you. And it’s gonna make you look bed.” OUCH. Well, one thing they say about the truth is that it  hurts.

Helen advice

She also had some choice words about Cristian, whom she reckons has “no backbone” and treats Danny as “the dad of the House”. Let’s hope Danny gives Cristian some pocket money to buy a personality. We’re joking!

Helen has a problem with Cristian

We don't just forget about housemates once they’re out of the House, you know (not least because we love having them on BOTS). With that in mind, we asked Jade to answer some questions from viewers. The answers are VERY illuminating. (RIP Rupert.)

The results of the Task were pretty illuminating, too. It was up to Simon to decide which couple proved themselves “Showbiz” (he took to the role of mentor very comfortably indeed). So while some housemates enjoyed their grub, others were left to reflect on their failure.

Task resolve

It was soon Harry's turn to nominate her chosen housemate. She mulled it over for a while, but not before saying she'd rather choose Cristian, who's already in the firing line; it was unnecessary but delicious. She finally came to make her nomination, but what will it mean for the House?

Day 41: Task - Nick's Day Of Devotion

It's Nick's birthday! Yup, our Big Brother superfan is getting to spend his 20th in the House, and Big Brother will be treating him to a special party in the evening to celebrate. Yay!

Not so fast, though, it's not all good news. Two housemates won't be automatically invited to join in the celebration - Harry and Nikki will need to compete for the right to attend, and to nab that final invitation, they'll have to prove their devotion to Nick. Throughout the day, they'll be set a series of challenges to show how much they care, and at the end of the day Nick will choose just one of them to party with him.

The other one will have to serve her fellow housemates, acting as a waitress throughout the party.

Best birthday ever? We'll see.

Big Brother 2015 RECAP! Day 40 highlights from Timebomb series

Big Brother

Here’s all of the key highlights from tonight’s latest episode of Big Brother 2015.

It’s morning and Simon and Marc are talking in the kitchen. Simon remarks that if he goes without being nominated he will be happy.

Marc says “No they will nominate you as it is a cop out from them.” Simon commented “You can guarantee me and Joel will be put up” Marc agreed.

Marc goes on to tell Simon he asked Danny who he should have picked instead of Jade, and that Danny didn’t choose Simon he choose one of his friends.

The Housemates are dotted around the House when the Time Warp machine begins to flash and Big Brother then reminds the House to freeze but tells Sam it is time for her to go and make her nomination.

Sam goes to stand in front of Harry and says she is nominating her because “She is the only person who has flown off the wagon and really shouted at me. I think she is amazing and lush and I hope it doesn’t affect our friendship.”

Big Brother tells Harry it will be her turn to nominate soon. The Time Warp comes to an end and the two hug. Harry tells her that she is fine and was expecting it.

Marc is sat on the sofa with Simon and says “I hate this house now. I hate the backstabbing I hate the two facedness,” Simon walks away and says “I am not getting involved,”

Helen and Danny are in the smoking area talking about Marc. Danny says “I don’t care what he has done I just think he is a d**k” Helen comments â€œI know you do, he tried to save you and Cristian and I wanted to point that out then Brian jumped on the band wagon and made it worse, I don’t think you outright dislike him, you go up and down with him.” Danny agreed and said he had upset people he cared about in the House and that they were young.

Helen disagreed. “The only person who gets irate Danny is you and it is going to make you look really bad. Don’t let other people implicate your behaviour.”

Some of the Housemates are in the kitchen and Nikki asks Harry if she has nominated yet. Harry says “The thing is I can’t nominate the person who annoys me the most as they are immune and no offence but I can’t nominate who has p***ed me off most this week as they are already nominated.”

She went on to say “To be honest Cristian if you weren’t already nominated I would have nominated you because of the way you have reacted to certain things this week.” Cristian looks on shocked, “What are you talking about Harry!” she retorted “Don’t take this in a mardy way but I think you should have handled yourself better this week” Cristian replied that that doesn’t affect her. To which she agreed.

Joel is talking to Big Brother. “I have a feeling I will be up this week more than likely. I thought Cristian would have nominated me but he didn’t so I respect him for that. I don’t know why, I told Cristian I didn’t like the way he behaved last week and I was quite forceful.

I think he didn’t nominate me as he didn’t want to make that situation worse.

Marc and Nick are talking on the sofa and Nick tells Marc he thinks Harry will nominate Simon.

Jack and Nick are in the garden and Jack says “I am proud to have got this far. I want to make the end so badly I think you have a chance Nicky boy!” Nick replied “Oh you never know I am just so grateful to have lasted so long I didn’t think I would. Jack says “the lights are not on do I don’t think they are going to freeze us tonight Nick.”

The Time Warp machine then comes to life and Harry is asked to make her nomination. She goes to stand by Simon and explains the other people she would have nominated are already up for eviction or immune and the reason she is nominating him is because she wouldn’t have mixed with him on the outside.

The nomination is over and Simon exclaims “Showbiz!” and reassures Harry that it is fine.

Cristian comes to talk to Nick and Jack and said “That is going to backfire, the reason she gave and how long she took.” Nick sticks up for Harry by saying. “That is who she wanted to nominate and she didn’t know what to say.”

Jack and Danny are looking at the images of the Housemates in the lounge. Jack says “You have to look at the chain of nominations.

We will leave it to the morning and then we will find out. Chloe will be fine.

Although the only way she won’t be fine is if he (Simon) nominated Nick. Danny says “You just never know!”

Big Brother airs tonight at 9PM on Channel 5.

Everything you need to know about Day 41

The day was working towards TWO tag-noms, as it was Simon’s turn to nominate someone, who in turn must put someone up for eviction. But it was also Nick’s birthday – he hit the big 2-0 – so Big Brother announced he’d have a party and set a Task: Harry and Nikki were to give him a Day of Devotion. It probably wouldn’t match the bath of devotion Harry gave him the previous dayâ€Ķ

Nick and Harry bath

...but still promised to be quite lovely.

Despite the celebratory nood, Sam was itching for a row with Marc. If only she could get him to stay in one placeâ€Ķ Anyway, after a couple of failed arguments, she admitted to Chloe she has feelings for him and feels jealous of his relationship with Helen. Honestly, we can’t keep up.

Continuing the awkwardness, it was Simon’s time to nominate. He did not hang about and nominated Jack for not being supportive when Simon was feeling down the other day. Who will Jack nominate in this sick game of tag-noms?

Big Brother told Nick that at the end of his Day of Devotion, he must choose the best pamperer to attend the party as a VIP. The loser would have be a waitress. To this end, they massaged him and painted his portrait. In fact, we asked you lot to vote for your favourite painting and it was a landslide victory for Nikki. But who would Nick choose?

In addition the massage and paintings, they'd even serenaded him, so he had much to thank both Harry and Nikki for. He plumped for Harry (obviously), which didn’t down well with Nikki, who huffed and puffed her way through the party.  â€œThat’s not faaaaair,” she moaned. “I hate you all.” She’s back!

Still, it was an even worse night for Jack, who complained that about having to nominate one of his mates - Joel, Nick, Danny or Chloe. He chose Joel, who was so shocked he dropped a chip. Jack cited Joel’s friendship with the TimeWarp housemates, which shows how divided the House has become. Remember the simpler times of yore when he was happy to muck about in the pool?

Anyway, it didn't go down too well, so stick with us to see who Joel nominates....

Tonight on Big Brother's Bigger Bit On The Side - 22nd June

It feels like aaaaages since we last had Rylan around to dissect all the latest House action, so to make up for it we've got a Bigger Bit On The Side coming up tonight. And fittingly, there's an extra-long list of guests coming in, too...

First up, we've got ex-Celebrity housemate Chloe Goodman dropping by to give us her perspective on the current housemates. Then there's showbiz journo Dan Wootton and twin vloggers Niki and Sammy, who'll also be here to let us know their opinions on all the drama.

Psychotherapists the Speakmans will also be in the studio, plus singing sensation Stevi Ritchie.

And though that sounds like a packed show already, we've got one more very special guest on her way in...

Jade

Yup, most recent evictee Jade will be spilling the beans on her time in the House.

Do not miss this one - tonight, Channel 5, 11pm.

Day 42: Task - Let's hug it out

There's been a lot of drama in the House lately, so Big Brother is going to give Sam a secret mission to cheer everyone up - but there's a twist...

Sam's been told it's down to her to brighten the nominees' spirits by giving each of them a motivational speech and a hug. Every speech has to pack in a classic Big Brother clichÃĐ - "it's all about the journey", "it is what it is", and all the rest of them - and at the end of each cheering sesh, Sam needs to get the nominees to agree that they feel better now.

It's going to be tricky for her, though, because what she doesn't know is that Big Brother has given some of the other housemates their own instructions.

To pass the task and earn a reward, they'll have to rebuff Sam's advances and tell her that she's actually made them feel worse.

Awkward.

Will the housemates manage to resist Sam's cheery charms, or will they succumb to her hugs?

Check back later to find out.

Day 42: Task - Sam gets motivational

Housemates love a good catchphrase. We've heard the word "showbiz" more times over the last six weeks than in the entire rest of our lives put together, while we can't enjoy anything without thinking "hashtag loving life!"

For today's task, Sam attempted to cheer up the nominated housemates by using a series of motivational maxims and clichÃĐs. They didn't work on Jack, Simon, Danny or Joel, but maybe that's just because Big Brother had given them their own secret task? Here are Sam's words of wisdom - feel free to print 'em out and stick them on the wall above your desk for when you need an extra boost of positivity...

Ups and downs

In her attempt to jolly up Jack, Sam employed one of the most meaningless clichÃĐs anyone can ever use about a life experience, comparing the House to a rollercoaster. What, filled with screaming children, with a massive queue outside and an elaborate locking mechanism on every seat? Hmm.

No silver linings here

For Simon, she employed a weather-related maxim, telling him that every storm has a rainbow. We're not sure that's meteorologically accurate.

Hang in there

Danny was on the receiving end of the kind of motivational slogan that usually accompanies a picture of a kitten. It applies perfectly to his situation, though - Danny just has to work harder at, um, well, maybe tasks or something? And then he can dream of nabbing the Big Brother crown. Maybe.

Why bother?

Finally, Sam brought out the big guns for Joel, only to bungle the slogan at the last minute, managing to deliver one of the most depressing sentences ever heard within these walls. We might as well just give up now.

Big Brother 2015 RECAP! Day 41 highlights from Timebomb series

Big Brother

Here’s a first look at all of the Big Brother house highlights from tonight’s latest show.

It’s Nick’s birthday and the Housemates wish him Happy Birthday as they wake up. Nikki goes over to Nick in his bed and strokes his head.

Big Brother calls Nikki, Nick and Harry to the Diary Room. Nikki and Harry are told that they will have to complete a number of tasks in honour of Nick’s birthday. If they complete the tasks to Big Brother’s satisfaction, they will be rewarded with a birthday party.

Nick will have to compare each of their efforts and decide who will join him as his Guest of Honour while the other will have to be the house waitress.

Simon is in the garden talking to Chloe about nomination. Simon says, “Whatever I say, I’m frightened to say. I knew I was next.”

The Time Warp Machine activates and the Housemates freeze. Simon is released from being frozen and must now place his nomination. Simon walks to Jack.

Simon explains that last week when he was upset and unwell, he felt Jack was inconsiderate in trying to get him to participate in cleaning. He says, “Jack came in and was quite forceful with me.”

The Time Warp machine goes off again and the Housemates are able to move. Simon apologises to Jack. Jack says that it’s fine but then comments, “Once again, nominate me for an actual reason instead of bullshit. I knew it was going to be me.

I’ve got to nominate from four people that are my actual friends.” Simon responds, “I do actually like you. I was upset that day.”

Simon goes into the garden and is talking to Chloe, Joel and Sam. She is asking about Jack. Simon says, “He seems alright. No one wants to be nominated. Now he’s got the job of nominating one of you guys. You are a close bunch.”

Nikki and Harry have each been asked to write a special birthday song for Nick. Sam and Helen are helping Harry with their song telling her it should be, “filthy but witty.” Simon is helping Nikki. Helen says, “Nikki’s going to do something cute.”

Big Brother gathers the Housemates on the sofa for the performances of the songs.

Cristian beat boxes and Harry raps a saucy rap. Nick says, “I don’t know whether to be excited or terrified for three weeks time.”

Nikki sings a song based on Nick being a swan.

Some of the Housemates are talking about Jack’s nomination. Cristian says, “He’ll nominate Joel.” Jack joins them. Jack says, “I feel like the actions of certain people have changed. I think people have disappointed me in the way that they’ve turned.” Brian says, “You think some people are talking to other people for their own personal gain?” Jack responds, “Exactly.”

For the last part of today’s task, Harry and Nikki must paint flattering portraits of Nick. Nick says he is impressed with both portraits.

Big Brother gathers the Housemates on the sofas and provides Nick with invitations for his birthday party. The Housemates joke that Nick is a playboy. Harry jokes, “Tesco Value Hugh Heffner.”

Nick chooses Harry to be his Guest of Honour and jokes that he’s too frightened to pick someone else. Nikki is to be the waitress for the party.

Big Brother has provided champagne and party food for Nick’s party. Big Brother instructs Nikki, “The waitress should smile and be courteous at all time.” Nikki gets annoyed. She hands out champagne to the Housemates and says, “I hate you all.” Joel does a toast. Harry makes a comment that Nick would prefer to be sitting with Nikki.

Waitress Nikki is in the Diary Room. “I’m tired and hungry and thirsty. You’ve got all my favourite things there. I just want to join in the party. They’re all asking me for things. I just need to relax and have a nice time. I’ve worked so hard all day. [Nick] had to choose Harry because he was frightened. I haven’t lifted a finger since I’ve been in here but I don’t intend on starting now.”

The party is in full swing when the Time Warp machine goes off and the Housemates freeze. Jack is released and asked to place his nomination. Jack stands behind Joel. Jack says, “I’m really sorry but I haven’t got a choice. I had to go by who I personally was closer too. I felt like when the new housemates arrived he just jumped on the bandwagon.”

When the housemates are released Jack apologises to Joel. Joel is not satisfied with Jack’s reasons and says, “I can’t see the first reason as valid to be honest. You know I find it would be quite rude to not attempt to get to know [the Time Warp Housemates]. Jack maintains his decision saying, “I’m closer to Chloe, Danny and Nick. You’ll have to nominate one of your friends now and you’ll see how hard it is.”

Joel is in the Diary Room talking about the nomination. He says, “I think Jack’s nomination wasn’t strong. I’m happy and proud to say, I am who I am. I hope people will see that’s an honest person.”

Big Brother airs tonight at 10PM on Channel 5.
