For launch night, it's really not that good..
Thats decent enough.... People have a whole lot more options in terms of tv programmes.....
Not bad for something that is not raising that much excitement anymore. That will pan out though so they could be left with less than 3m veiwers in the end.

Well It's Better Than The Predictions Of 3-4 Million
And It Was Still C4's Most Watched Show This Year After The CBB Launch So Whilst Low Compared To Previous BBs Still Very High Relative To Other C4 Programmes.
ch4 kept it all very low key, not the usual build up and the crowd was tiny
very good
not bad

The next story will be,BB loses 5 million viewers
Once they realised that it was more of the same, I wonder how many people switched over to watch the very amusing Sralen on Room 101?
lowest launch figures ever because of the lack of buzz / boycotts and its only going to get worse and worse as the 14 weeks progress.
Thats below average
It's ok, but disappointing. Apprentice is getting like 9 million viewers each episode because now it's obviously the better show than BB .

Day 2 BB ratings 2.7 million.
Most of yesterday's HLs was them going into the house, so I watched some stuff I'd recorded instead.

At this rate the show will be pulled in a few weeks.quote:Originally posted by Big Brothers Big Scam:quote:Originally posted by erinp:

with luck it'll get pulled because i dont think that shower of shits have the balls to admit how badly they fcuked up, its not a lost cause yet but without a feed it is, so realy its live feed asap or its goodbye ch4 and hello decent bb on sky, either way i'm fine with it, i'd love it to fail utterly this year so it can return on sky because ch4 dont deserve it.
2.7 Doesn't Include C4+1, So That Figure Will Probably Rise To Around 3m, WHich Isn't That Bad, The Slot Average For That Time Is 1.8 million, So It Won't Be Axed, It's Still Doing Brilliantly Compared To Other C4 shows.

If you want it to go to Sky then why arent you happy that its on E4 live, at least some of the time. Could understand it if folks dont have Sky or Freeview.
When BB started in 2000, it was new fresh and innovative. It became the mother of all reality shows. Each year since then, they have chipped away at the show by removing the multi screen choice and all those other little extras we had for quite a few years, until today they have finally removed any live feed at all. It seems they don't want the show to succeed.
I have not voted for years. To start voting now would be silly when the choice of watching live feed has been removed, being the only way we could actually judge what these people were really like. It has turned into true Big Brother, ie manipulating our perceptions by asking us to only be influenced by their highlight shows and who THEY think we should like. I have put BB into my own personal Room 101. TBH I prefer the forum to the show and spend more time on here than the show itself.

yes but the sms eviction alerts were free, sent to your mobile as soon as they were announced so you could start voting at 25p+ network rate.

well of course the txt alerts stopped in 2002 and since then i think just about everything else has been cut until now they finaaly cut everything and we no longer have bb at all, just a scripted soap.

I think the viewing figures will drop off a lot over the next few weeks. A lot of my friends watch the HL show because I usually watch LF...they then ask me what happened before or after a particular HL show event or ask what the peeps on here think of a particular HM.....they then watch the next HL show to see if it resemble what I've told them about LF.
I've had lots of phonecalls this week asking me what the FM's think of people so far and what happened on LF....to which I've replied I haven't got any LF to inform them of true events. So far every single mate has said it's a waste of time watching then.
I may have lost my LF (1 non viewer) but through my social connections BB will have lost far more viewers than just me. They all tuned in for the launch, then decided not to bother...although the lack of LF.
I think by the end of 14 weeks BB will be lucky to get a mere 1m viewers.
That will fall dramatically. After witnessing the some of the contestants viewers will turn off in their droves.

because hours of them sleeping isnt the bits of the lf i'd like to watch, and its not the bits that whatmers and luters use to generate the buzz around the show.
