Ratings slump - I dread to think how it will go on Friday

Less than a million viewers tuned in to Big Brother 2012 last night, as the showâs ratings continue to decline.
The days of 10 million viewers watching Big Brother evictions are long gone, and Channel 5 has never seen more than 3 million tune in for one of its ânormalâ shows, but the figures are still relatively low.
995,000 watched on Channel 5 last night as the housemates took part in an inflatable assault course in a bid to win a pool party.
It was the latest dip for the show, which has seen dropping ratings for the past couple of weeks.
When the new series first launched, closer to 2 million were regularly watching the daily episodes, which eventually dropped to around 1.4 million. The average for the past seven days however is nearer 1.1 million, and dropping.
With this weekâs live show going up against the London 2012 opening ceremony, ratings will only get worse.
Some fans have called for Channel 5 to move the upcoming live show, but schedules indicate its set to go ahead from 9PM on Friday.
Next week will see a midweek twist called The White Room, with a special 90 minute show set for Wednesday, but will it be enough to entice viewers back?
