I think he's very influential within his own group. The thing is that neither he or Adam are involved in what BB considers the main storylines so they don't get much coverage.
In fairness, the cooking task yesterday was basically created with him in mind (as if any HM wouldn't choose the resident chef as one of the house's best cooks...
