You catch it the first time by being kissed by someone who has cold sore virus on his or her face. This may have been when you were too young to remember â or just the other day. It is only caught by direct skin contact, not through sharing cups, cutlery, towels, etc.

Nah the boogery things flare up now and then.I've had them since I was a kid.HOY Vids the simplex one is not sexually transmitted,nor is it dirty etc! I've been putting on the Acyclovir cream,that helps dry them up etc.If you catch them early enough at the hot tingle stage you can stop the blister forming.
