My eldest auditioned a couple of years ago and it was manic apparently.

I thought he was wasting his time as it I suspected  over the last 4 or 5 BBs that most of the hms came via agents.

Lesley for example, she didn't even seem to know about the show. I can't believe she went throught the audition process

I don't know about most of them, but quite a lot of HMs over the last few years definitely have - at the very least - been fast-tracked.

From memory, out of last year's HMs, Ben, Caoimhe, Dave and Steve were asked to apply, and Mario and John James fast-tracked (and there are probably several others I've forgotten...)

It's one of the many reasons I haven't watched it since BB9, along with the biased editing and lack of live feed.
