And I hope to god that the rumours of merging the CBB and BB series are some sort of sick joke. Although that would explain the 2 houses.
why can't they just leave it alone? Just go back to basics, 12 housemates, put them in and film it, no manipulation, no fixing, no scripts.

I'm a lurker on DS and I've been reading that thread.
Steph has put her whole life on Twitter, even pics of her with a drip in her arm when she went to hospital, so I think she'd have put up a scan pic if she was pregnant. I think she is lying and will concoct a miscarriage story in the very near future.
If she really is pregnant, I won't feel bad for disbelieving her, as she is a compulsive liar.

Can't believe they are actually going to put celebrities into the regular BB series.
The words piss up and brewery spring to mind with the current BB production team.
I've been meaning to post on here for a while:
After some serious thought, I really don't think I'll be watching much of this series.
I'm not saying I won't be watching it at all: I'll probably watch the launch show and post on the live thread as I always enjoy chatting with all you lovely FMs, but for the first time since the very first show of BB1 I really don't think I can commit to watching (or even just trying to watch) every night. Part of it is due to personal matters, but it's also partly down to the last two series being ruined by Helen Woods (with a nasty rumour that she might be back again 
) and the producers' current problem of being unable to go three shows or so without introducing some massive "twist".
I know I've said this before, but the thing is that last year I got dragged back in as the first couple of weeks actually looked pretty good - potentially one of the best series in years. However the producers decided there wasn't enough conflict, so they kicked out a stack of HMs and brought in ex-HMs, with the almost unbelievable result that the remaining HMs were reduced to being extras on their own show!
It was really rather unpleasant at times, and a crying shame given how well the series had started out. With all these hints of "the game changing" it looks like we're in for more of the same, so I really can't be bothered anymore. As I said, I'll definitely be around for the launch night live thread, and I'll still watch and post now and then, but it's going to take some really major changes for me to return to full commitment...
The 4 out 4 in night absolutely ruined last years series. Some really good housemates got kicked out and replaced by absolute dick heads like Harry, Marc and bloody showbiz.
From then on it was an absolute shit tip of a show, made even worse by putting ex housemates in as well as CBB housemates.
I'm sort of in the same boat as Eugene now. Last time I suddenly realised that it actually felt like a chore watching - it wasn't even good humoured complaining any more... even the forum didn't help - it was just Groundhog Day. I thoroughly disliked the characters and the production, so for the first time since I discovered BB I went days at a time without watching - it was quite liberating. I did come back towards the end (but no longer tried to catch up if I missed one) I'll watch the launch show and see how it goes, but unless it's vastly improved I don't see me staying the course.

Rylan's chat show seemed especially ominous, like C5 are taking things down the most vacuous, towie-est braindeadest route possible.

Let's face it Baz, they ran out of ideas years ago. I think any forum member can write the script for the launch night. It's highly likely that they will use words and phrases like "twist", "rock the house", "devastate", "one unsuspecting housemate will...", "the biggest ever Big Brother...".
Anyone who thinks they are going to get a show that is different will be sorely mistaken.

To be honest I rarely bother with launch night. It's too long and drawn out. 2 bastard hours!
I'll probably just watch it the next night in the highlights show. Which will be pretty much the same thing, minus the stupid "I'm a twat" VT's.
