I can't remember if it was here or on DS, but I saw the suggestion that they nominate Jack to use up his past pass. Unfortunately Simon seems to think that BB would put a single HM up for the public vote.

Wouldn't it be great if Jack gets offered to use his pass and put someone up in his place

yes  next week so it can be jazzhands - plonker

Wait until BB plays it to the house and shops them ....that's what they usually do

come on then...... it'll need to be a good story to beat the orang-utan one....

Not really, Kaffs... I cut my hedges one year and almost chopped the heads off little chicks in a nest... I was so upset I tried covering the nest again with hedge cuttings so the mother wouldn't desert the nest... a bloody great magpie watched me doing it... then attacked the chicks and the eggs ...I cant pass the hedge without thinking about it... and Magpies get chased everytime I see them :'(

Awww....

Not trying to tell you what to do,but the RSPB recommend not cutting hedges and shrubs until the nesting season is over.I have fledged sparrows, starlings etc in the garden just now..and the fookin'pirate Magpies.

The squirrel sees the magpies off because the robins have nested in the bottom of his drey......he seems to have built a tenement up in his tree

I would love to see this if could catch it on film... sooo sweet!

I wish I had had a camera yesterday.....two baby squirrels on my back bedroom windowsill on their hind legs and paws against the window looking in......so cute

Aww, that sounds so sweet!

awww gorgeous

If only.   It might make for a more interesting show.

I dunno about you lot, but I'm thinking of putting myself out to grass - I'm obviously past it.

I'm already pushing up daisies then !

yes I have a biggish hedge cos we are on a corner and a few nests in it -and had the same advice

You do know that the squirrels will eat eggs and chicks too...  i have a few "pet squirrels" that come to my back door for peanuts,i figure if I stuff them full of nuts they won't be hungry enough to go nest raiding.

The squirrels and the birds are ok together, they both get on with their lives and share whatever is on the bird table

As long as the squirrels are getting plenty food etc ,the nests and baby birds should be safe.
